Whenever a friend or family member is sick, recovering from surgery, or maybe they just had a baby and you want to do something a little more personal or special for them, it can be tough to figure out what they may want or need. Putting together a little “get well soon” package full of different kinds of goodies can be really fun for them because it’s not the usual flowers, chocolates, cookies that people normally send. I prefer to put together gift baskets for different occasions because I feel like people notice the thought and effort.
For this specific gift basket I put together I had a friend in mind with a minor surgery coming up who would love a some fun goodies while she heals.
The photo above shows the different items that I included.
I went to Nordstrom and found her a cute pair of pajama pants, some adorable and cozy fuzzy socks, and a Philosophy gift set full of yummy smelling items that are sure to cheer anyone up. I love shopping for gifts this time of year because with the holidays comes amazing gift sets!
I also got her a book that I just finished reading and loved! Books can be great escapes for people who need a little escaping.
Another few things I included are some of my favorite toiletries! They are all from the Curél® Itch Defense line which is truly amazing! I personally have been using these products for months and not only do they feel great on your skin, they help your skin as well. First, I got her the Curél® Itch Defense® Body Wash which is amazing for dry, itchy skin and for people with eczema. It combines gentle cleansers an skin conditioners to gently soothe and cleanse itchy skin. There are no added fragrances, and it’s got an amazing non-irritating formula. I also got her the Curél® Itch Defense® Lotion to moisturize post-shower. It soothes eczema prone skin and is even gentle enough for babies six months and up. Really a product anyone would want to make them feel better! Lastly, I got her the Curél® Itch Defense® Instant Soothing Moisturizing Spray. It instantly cools, calms, and soothes dry, itchy skin while helping to improve skin’s natural moisture barrier. These three products make great gifts to include in a fun gift package for someone who really needs a boost! Since I use these products I can speak to their qualities. When I use them I notice a huge difference in my skin and how it not only feels but looks!
The last gift I included was a Nest Candle. Because guys, lets be real, candles are the bomb dot com! Almost everyone loves a good yummy smelling candle, and it’s one of those things that can instantly make you feel better!
I know she will absolutely love this gift basket. A few things you can also include are magazines, their favorite candy, homemade cookies, some chapstick, or a fun movie!
I hope this gave you some ideas of what to get someone for a get well soon gift especially if they aren’t super into flowers!
These are such great gift ideas! Thanks for sharing these.
Great little gift basket! The socks and jammies are amazing. Also, I lost my favorite hand cream and it suddenly got super cold in Georgia, so I guess I’ll need to pick up some Curel!
I’m a firm believer that you can never go wrong with fuzzy socks!
I use this for my son who gets the driest skin ever in the winter!
I would die to use that Philosophy gift set!
This is such a cute idea! I love doing little gift packages and I’m actually going to take your idea and rework it a little bit for a friend of mine that just had a baby. 🙂
Such a great idea! I’m sure anyone would appreciate the thought and effort, especially when they are sick. Love Curel too.
Those pj’s look so cozy! I’m going to have to get some this weekend – thanks for sharing the link!
These look like great gifts to help make someone feel better fast! Recovery time can be the worst when you are just sitting around waiting. These would definitely cheer me up!

I love the idea of a gift package. So thoughtful
Awesome ideas! I recently had someone I was close to get hit by a car while she was walking across the street. A get well gift basket sounds perfect. Thanks!
Aww, this is really sweet! My sister is sick right now and I know how excited she’d be about any little gift to cheer her up!
Candles are most definitely the bomb dot com, and it sounds like all of these Curel goodies are, too! Great gift guide idea, Neely!!
