March Goals

Happy March! First of all, seriously how are we in the third month of this year already? Time flies! Today I am sharing my March Goals, but first I want to do a check up on how I did in February. I love doing this to not only keep myself accountable, but I think at the end of the year it will be nice to see what I accomplished every month.

March-Goals

For February I wanted to:

  1. Read 10 books. I read 7 so… ok. Not great.
  2. Make something for Andrew for Valentine’s Day.  I decorated our house, does that count?
  3. Try two new meals this month that we can add to our rotation. We tried one new meal I believe and brought back an old favorite into rotation.
  4. Open up more on the blog. I shared a few somewhat personal posts.
  5. Submit a few posts to Huffington Post to be potentially published. THIS HAPPENED!!!! I was legit published on February 1st!
  6. Focus A LOT more on NEEDS not WANTS. Yes my “want” spending was at an all time low in February! So great!
  7. Spend some quality time with my grandparents. We didn’t get to see my grandparents in February, but we did get to chat with them a ton over the phone.

For March I would like to:

  1. Read 8 books. Hopefully I can do this.
  2. Have 5 posts per week on the blog. I am really ahead on this so it shouldn’t be a problem.
  3. Try to find time in this SUPER busy month of events, showers, and birthdays to have time for just Andrew and myself.
  4. Organize our linen closet.
  5. Continue to spend less money and save more.
  6. Have a second article published on the Huffington Post.
  7. Not eat any take out or to go food the entire month. Possibly hard with 2 family birthdays so those days probably won’t count but mainly during the week.

Do you have any March Goals to share? I would love to hear them!!

Eight books might sound like a lot, but you can do it. My husband reads a LOT and goes though about 10 every month – but he takes the train to and from work everyday, so he has 2 hours of downtime to read five days a week.

I wish I could read 7 books! It takes me a month just to read one! Mostly because I only read a little bit at a time. I also wish I could post more than a couple of post a week , but the last time I tried posting more than that, I got burnt out really quickly.

  6. Congratulations on getting published on Huffington Post. That’s exciting. That goal of no takeout food is a great goal. I wouldn’t be able to handle it, as we have takeout at least once per week. Maybe I should make it a future goal of mine…

My goals are to stick to my budget better this month, decluttering a room, and make sure I have a date night with my hubby. Good luck to you on your March goals. I am sure you will rock them.

Congratulations! I think you did fabulously in February. One of my favorite sayings is there is no failure – it’s all feedback. I’m so impressed at your positive outlook and that you are assessing Februarys achievements then applying them to March. How exciting about the Huffington post!!! I’m going to go look you up.

I just wrote a pretty long post all about how I did on February goals and this months goals too. I love the start of a new month! How amazing must it feels to accomplish all the goals on a to-do list. This month my theme is definitely overall health and well-being, and a couple of other practical goals. I can’t even read one book in a month, gosh =0

I’ve got a post I’ve been meaning to submit to the HuffPost for a month now but I’m terrified because it’s an extremely personal post and I know it’s controversial. I need to pull up my bootstraps and just do it! Did you email yours straight to Arianna?

  42. My primary goal for March is to find a steady paying online job. I quit my job as a corporate slave because it was stressing me out so much that my health suffered. I know there are a ton of opportunities out there. I just have to be diligent enough to look.
