Happy March! First of all, seriously how are we in the third month of this year already? Time flies! Today I am sharing my March Goals, but first I want to do a check up on how I did in February. I love doing this to not only keep myself accountable, but I think at the end of the year it will be nice to see what I accomplished every month.
For February I wanted to:
- Read 10 books. I read 7 so… ok. Not great.
- Make something for Andrew for Valentine’s Day. I decorated our house, does that count?
- Try two new meals this month that we can add to our rotation. We tried one new meal I believe and brought back an old favorite into rotation.
- Open up more on the blog. I shared a few somewhat personal posts.
- Submit a few posts to Huffington Post to be potentially published. THIS HAPPENED!!!! I was legit published on February 1st!
- Focus A LOT more on NEEDS not WANTS. Yes my “want” spending was at an all time low in February! So great!
- Spend some quality time with my grandparents. We didn’t get to see my grandparents in February, but we did get to chat with them a ton over the phone.
For March I would like to:
- Read 8 books. Hopefully I can do this.
- Have 5 posts per week on the blog. I am really ahead on this so it shouldn’t be a problem.
- Try to find time in this SUPER busy month of events, showers, and birthdays to have time for just Andrew and myself.
- Organize our linen closet.
- Continue to spend less money and save more.
- Have a second article published on the Huffington Post.
- Not eat any take out or to go food the entire month. Possibly hard with 2 family birthdays so those days probably won’t count but mainly during the week.
Do you have any March Goals to share? I would love to hear them!!

OMG!!!! I am so incredibly proud of you for being published on Huffington!!!! What an accomplishment!
Eight books might sound like a lot, but you can do it. My husband reads a LOT and goes though about 10 every month – but he takes the train to and from work everyday, so he has 2 hours of downtime to read five days a week.
I’ve just stepped up my own blogging routine to 5 -6 posts per week, being organized and planning ahead is so essential isn’t it? Good luck with this months goals. have a great March.
I wish I could read 7 books! It takes me a month just to read one! Mostly because I only read a little bit at a time. I also wish I could post more than a couple of post a week , but the last time I tried posting more than that, I got burnt out really quickly.
I need to work on my “want” spending! Good luck on your goals!!
Congratulations on getting published on Huffington Post. That’s exciting. That goal of no takeout food is a great goal. I wouldn’t be able to handle it, as we have takeout at least once per week. Maybe I should make it a future goal of mine…
Fantastic post! Great idea and so inspiring. You should nominate people as a challenge. Thanks
Great goals, it is always inspiring to see the goals others set out to achieve.
I really want to get some articles on Huffington Post or really any other freelance writing opportunities…I’m just trying to find the time, energy and not feel so overwhelmed with it all. :-/
We are same, I also keep posting five times a week in my blog. We can do it and we can achieve our goals.
I definitely want to have my blog plan accomplished – still only a part-time blogger so it’s easy to get behind when my other job gets busy!
Good luck on your March goals! This month is going to flyyyyy.
Awesome! My goal is to be published on Huffington Post as well. Kudo’s to you!
How long did it take to get your post published?
Congratulations on getting published on Huffington Post. Your goals are great and I think you did well in February. My goals are to stick to my budget better this month, decluttering a room, and make sure I have a date night with my hubby. Good luck to you on your March goals. I am sure you will rock them.
Congratulations! I think you did fabulously in February. One of my favorite sayings is there is no failure – it’s all feedback. I’m so impressed at your positive outlook and that you are assessing Februarys achievements then applying them to March. How exciting about the Huffington post!!! I’m going to go look you up.
I just wrote a pretty long post all about how I did on February goals and this months goals too. I love the start of a new month! How amazing must it feels to accomplish all the goals on a to-do list. This month my theme is definitely overall health and well-being, and a couple of other practical goals. I can’t even read one book in a month, gosh =0
8 books?! Wooohooo that sounds awesome!
With school and work, my goal is to post at least twice a week.

My March goal is to get my house decluttered. I also want to work on putting up outdoor lighting around my house.
Congrats on the Huff Post publish- I love that post! Will you share how you got published? I would love to hear about your experience!
great goals here! and i absolutely enjoyed reading your letter…such wise words 🙂
Congrats on being published in Huffington Post!!! How amazing! That’s a huge accomplish in itself! I also have been trying to read more. It slightly happened for me but barely. I also have been trying to spend less and save money. It’s been hard but I am doing it. Good luck on your goals this month! I can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
7 books is a lot for a month! Awesome Job!!!! Sounds like March will be a great one!
Sounds like a great February for you!! I love when I am able to meet some of my goals, congrats on Huffington post!!
Seven books is a lot!! That’s great!
Great goals! No take out for the month would be a tough one for me. Good luck 🙂
I’ve got a post I’ve been meaning to submit to the HuffPost for a month now but I’m terrified because it’s an extremely personal post and I know it’s controversial. I need to pull up my bootstraps and just do it! Did you email yours straight to Arianna?
Such good goals. I have never made goals for myself, but maybe I should? CONGRATS on your HP article! So awesome
I love that you share your goals and how you did the previous month. It really keeps you accountable. March snuck up on me and I haven’t thought about what my goals are, but I will definitely think about them now. 🙂
I like having goals. It creates a plan to move forward. Good Job.
I cannot believe we are in March already either. This year is flying by and I don’t know how I feel about it. Good luck on the no take out! I want to be better at that as well but tonight we ordered pizza because something fell through and we needed something quick. Good luck this month!
Great goals and congrats on being published! 🙂
What an accomplishment.
xoxo, Jenny

Sounds like it was a great month for you and so fun to see your goals and aspirations for the coming month! Congrats on reading seven books last month – no small feat! Do you have a Goodreads account?? And so awesome about The Huffington Post. I may have to pick your brain about that.
Seven books is actually really impressive, so I applaud you! I didn’t even read one book- even though I have been “reading” a book for a month and a half…fail.
What do you have to do to get published on Huffington?
Congrats on being published! I love how you not only share what you want to accomplish, but how you did regardless of the outcome! It’s so important that we hold ourselves accountable for what we want in our lives. I can’t wait to see how your month plays out! Good luck!

This is a great list of goals! I want to organize some closets too – we’ll see if it actually happens! ; )
I’m just now getting back into reading after having a break that was way tooooo long! I’m impressed with how much you read in one month- goals!! What are your favorite books?
My primary goal for March is to find a steady paying online job. I quit my job as a corporate slave because it was stressing me out so much that my health suffered. I know there are a ton of opportunities out there. I just have to be diligent enough to look.
I definitely would love to be able to read more books during the week. I’ve always been an avid reader but I have very little spare time to do so these days.
