I have a feeling that the things I carry for me in my purse are about to drastically change with the baby and his needs. However I do always keep a small makeup bag in whatever purse or bag I am using that only fits the absolute essentials. I used to carry a large makeup bag, but 14 lip products started to seem ridiculous. I am a sucker for a lip product. The beauty must haves in my purse are the bare minimum essentials.

This is the small makeup bag I use, and I love that it can fit in nearly any handbag.

I got an amazing Fresh lip treatment set for Christmas and I always have at least one of them in my bag. They are really moisturizing which is helpful this time of year.

Next I have the BEST mini tweezers in the world from Tweezerman. You guys the regular size of these are awesome but the mini is PERFECT for purse and travel. Get some! Plus we all know the best lighting for tweezing your brows is in your car parked somewhere. I know I’m not alone in this.

The next lip product I have should be NO surprise. It’s the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. I have sung its praise before and it’s such a winner. I know it’s pricey but it’s worth it.

I can’t really function without hair ties and bobby pins. My favorite hair ties are the no crease ones from Emi-jay. I have a million of them and I always have at least 2 in my makeup bag.

I would love to say I always leave my house with my brows done but sometimes I forget. So thankfully I keep the benefit gimme brow in my makeup bag. It’s really tiny so it fits well.

These little mini floss packs are perfect for your makeup bag. I believe there are four in each and how many times have you needed to floss when out of the house but you didn’t have any? *raises hand*.

If you need a little lip color without dealing with lipstick and lip liner, I highly suggest picking up some Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm. They come in amazing colors and keep you moisturized and also give you some great color!

Those are the beauty must haves in my purse. They aren’t crazy, but they are enough to get the job done in most emergencies.

I love my Burt’s Bees! I always have lipstick & hair ties. Usually there is a stray bobby pin or five. I also carry a few essential oils with me, usually at least a stress-away roller. I need to remember to put the tweezers back in there because having an active 10 yr old boy = splinters!

Why didn’t I think to carry floss in my purse! Seems so obvious reading it here. I used to carry tinted lip balm in my bag at all times…until my daughter got to her toddler years and started rummaging through my purse for my “lipstick.” Now I have to hide it really well from her!

The floss pickers and tweezers FOR SURE! It’s ALWAYS on the way to a party or something that I notice some rough scraggly hair on my cheek or something and need to pluck it! 1

The Burt’s Bees tinted lip balms are my all time fave! I’ve never thought about carrying tweezers in my purse though but I totally should – even if just for splinters! (Which sounds odd – but when you’re often on photoshoots dealing with wood – it happens!)
