Something about the colder weather makes me want to never leave my house and curl up with book after book… and some hot chocolate! I figured I can’t be alone in feeling this way, so I thought I would share some of my favorite cozy winter reads. A few of these have been mentioned before, but they are all PERFECT for cuddling up with blankets and spending the day getting lost in another world.

Cozy Winter Reads
I am pretty sure most of my book lists mention at least one Colleen Hoover book. I can’t help it. I have yet to read a book of hers I did not love. Recently she released Too Late which I had no idea was coming out. I snagged it on Amazon and read it in two days. I probably would have read it in one if I didn’t have tons of work. While we are on the Colleen Hoover subject I can’t not talk about Maybe Someday. It came out a while ago but it’s really great and not your typical romance. Also her novella series Never Never (3 books!!!) is fantastic. Especially if you’re like me and you never want her books to end.
While we are talking about 3 book series I have another to mention, actually two others to mention. The first is That Boy series. This book series follows a girl through dating, marriage and a baby with “That Boy”. The other one is Queen of Babble. I had read a ton of Meg Cabot books, but until this summer I had not read the Queen of Babble series. It is really cute and fun and the perfect trilogy.
The Best of Us was seriously one of my favorite reads of the past year. I really love books about groups of friends and things that happen as we get older.
I remember reading If I Stay right before the movie came out a few years ago and sobbing. Literally sobbing on my couch as I finished it. If you haven’t read the book or seen the movie I suggest doing both!
I am a huge fan of Emily Giffin books, and my all time favorite is Love The One You’re With. This is a great book to read anytime, but if you’ve never read it there’s no better time than the present. Because if you think your life is great and you run into the one that got away does that change things?
Lastly, Always Something There To Remind Me is a great story of moving forward and how sometimes you need to go back to go forward.
I would love to know if you have any cozy winter reads suggestions for me! Leave them in the comments!

I love Love The One You’re With! Emily Griffin is one of my favourite authors. Gotta reread it now. 🙂

I downloaded Too Late because of your recommendation! I haven’t started it yet, but I imagine my long drive to Atlanta and then my long plane ride home to California will allow me to make a big dent in it!
I haven’t read “If I Stay”, but I have always been intrigued with the story (I haven’t seen the movie either, I just know what happens). I think I would enjoy it, but I already know I don’t like the ending :p
I don’t have anything on my winter reading list as of yet but I will be sure to include some of these! I am always up for good book recommendations.

I can’t wait for Christmas break so I can catch up on some reading and finish out my Reading Challenge for the year! Thanks for the recommendations. These all sound like nice books to read. I’ve seen If I Stay, but heard the book is really great too, so I’m definitely interested in reading it!
Ooh great suggestions! Emily Giffin and Meg Cabot are two of my fave authors!
I have not read any of these. I see you are a huge fan of Emily Griffin. I read one of her books a few years ago and wasn’t impressed. I might need to give her another try. Thanks for sharing your books. #showyourbloglove
Thanks for the recommendations! I’m so looking forward to the time between Christmas and New Year’s so I can get in some reading.
I have been looking for a good book to read! Thanks for sharing, so excited to try Too Late!
My daughter is an avid reader and books is always something she looks forward to receiving. Will look over this list closer and she what she might enjoy.
I am so happy that I came across your post! I don’t know if you heard about this or not but PopSugar is doing a 2017 reading challenge and I’ve decided to participate and one item on the list is to start a book in a series I’ve never read, so I’m excited to check out your recommendations! I am an animal lover and I just read Esther The Wonderpig and it was such a great book! (It’s non fiction though)
Thanks for this roundup! I am always adding to my book list. There is nothing better than a book and a hot drink!
If I Stay was such a good book! I haven’t seen the movie yet, but it’s on my list. I was just looking for a new book to read the other day, so I think I’ll check out Love the One You’re with. Thanks for the great recommendations!
I love Meg Cabot and Emily Griffin. I will have to check out Colleen Hoover while I’m on break from school!
I absolutely love to read, but I haven’t had a single minute for it lately. Once I get through the holidays, I’m going to make changes to my schedule so I can start reading again.
I am the same way when it comes to winter time. I just want to stay cuddled up and not do much of anything else. I have not read any of these books before. They all sound really good!! I’ll have to put these on my list! I hope next year I make more time to read.
Oh! These sound like some really great reads. I want to read The Best Of Us and If I Stay, definitely now. I
I love Emily Griffin books but I haven’t heard of that one! I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for the recommendations!
I really need to catch up on my reading. Thank you for this list – I shall take a look on Amazon.
I really liked “If I Stay” as well! I read it about this time of year a couple of years ago, and remember feeling so much throughout the book. I love those kind of books!
Woohoo!! I’ve got some gift cards from Amazon…will definitely keep this post handy!
If I Stay has been on my list for awhile, I really need to read it!

I love Emily Giffin… Such easy reads but I can never put them down!
These all look like great reads! I really need to get back to reading. I miss getting lost in a good story!
I need to check them all out! Gotta love reading in the winter.
I love to read. My goal for 2017 is to allow myself more time to do it. I have some mystery authors I can recommend.
It’s raining cats and dogs today. I’m so sad that I have things to do outside the house, because curling up with one of these and a cup of coffee sounds like a much better way to spend the day.
I haven’t heard of a few of these, but The Best of Us sounds wonderful!

I love all of these! I always say I need to read more. I plan to commit to it more in 2017!
Love a good book anytime, but especially when it is cold out. Apparently, reading a book while snuggled up in your blankies is an actual Christmas Eve tradition in Iceland. We need to bring that here.
Great list! I love Emily Giffin books 🙂
I’ve yet to read any of these…but If I Stay the movie was GOOD. Off to Barnes & Noble…
Coming Up Roses
These are some great winter reads! I haven’t ready any of them yet but added “The Best of Us”, ” That Boy” series, and ” Always Something There To Remind Me” to my Goodreads “want to read” list.
These sound like some great book titles. I’ve really been trying to make some time to read more during Christmas vacation. It’s something I really enjoy but don’t always have time for.
Oooooo what a great list!!!!!! I’m always looking for new books to read. I will have to check a few of these out!
I’m reading The Girl on the Train right now. I’ll have to read one of these next!
