A Few Decor Updates

This is a sponsored post written on behalf of Affirm, Inc. All opinions are my own.

Since we bought our house over a year and a half ago there were a lot of things we wanted to do. Being responsible we made a long list and prioritized things. Once I got pregnant those priorities shifted a bit because there were certain things that needed to get done pre baby. I was so excited to partner with Affirm to make a few decor updates to some of our main living spaces.

Affirm is a better way to pay for large purchases over time. They work with TONS of retailers from home decor, to travel, to fashion. This is perfect for our situation because we really wanted to invest in a few pieces, but if you don’t want to pay for it all at once it acts like a credit card of sorts and you pay over time in monthly payments. But, unlike some credit cards, with Affirm, you know up front exactly how much something will cost you with no hidden fees. Every month, and in total. With Affirm, you pay simple vs. compounding interest, so you only pay interest on your purchase–not interest on your interest! This is a huge win! This would be perfect for people buying a new home, or a young person decorating their first home or apartment.  Affirm empowers you to make informed decisions when making a large purchase because it is transparent and simple. We’ve all been there with hidden fees and surprises in billing, and you just don’t have that with Affirm. Plus Affirm makes real time credit decisions! No waiting around!

We worked with Affirm and used Wayfair to purchase three things for our home. A new TV stand for our living room since ours was a hand-me-down of sorts and needed a major upgrade. We also got a pretty upholstered bench for the front of our bed and a little play tee-pee for baby boy on the way’s playroom. These were three things on our to-buy list anyway and with Affirm we were able to get it all done!

I want to share a bit about how quick and easy the process was. First we went to Wayfair.com and picked out the items we wanted.

Then when it got to the time to pay there was an option to pay with Affirm.

It runs you through the really really quick process and tells you instantly if you are approved for the amount.

Then everything works like a normal checkout.

You also set up when and how much you are paying. We did 3 monthly payments and set up our bank information right then. From there the payments are automatic.

You can see just how easy it was!

These are just a few decor updates we have made and I hope to show you more soon!

Is this a service you would consider using?

  1. Love the new bench at the end of your bed. Wish my room was big enough for something like that!

Never heard of Affirm and I don’t generally use credit cards to purchase home decor because of all those extra fees and interests. I prefer to use cash or debit. Good to know there is a company out there that does not charge the extras. Your new purchases look so beautiful – love the bench!

  19. First of all, I love how you decorated your bedroom. I really wouldn’t use a service like this because I don’t use loans but I think is a good option for people who do.

Affirm looks like a great way to update some of the items in my home. We bought our house a little over two years ago and became pregnant right after, so we also had some things take the back burner.

  24. First time I have heard of Affirm. Of all the features you discussed in this article, the one I loved the most is that with Affirm, you only pay for interest on your purchase, not interest on your interest! Now, that is awesome!
