Favorite at Home Workouts

So if you are like me and that means super busy from sun up to sundown you don’t always make that bar class or that trip to the gym. Fear not friends there are great workouts you can do at home that give you a huge burn, lots of sweat and leave your legs and arms shaky and wanting more.

Here are my Favorite at Home Workouts:

Pure Barre/Bar Method DVDS: I love these because you get almost the full workout you would in the studio aside from not having someone adjust you(thats the only part I dont like about doing it at home). You will need the socks, a band, something for stability: counter, dresser etc and free weights if you want to do the arm part.

Popsugar Active iPhone app: OK I discovered this about 3 weeks ago and I’ve been doing the butt and thigh workouts 3-4 times a week. SOOOOOO good. Whats great about these workouts is that they are only 10 or so minutes each. So you can do a lot of different workouts. They also have a 10 minute bootcamp workout thats crazy good! Make sure you have water near by you will need it!

My Teen Mom workout: I discovered that I enjoy watching TV while I workout so I started doing this completely made up workout and I still do it. Good 42 minute workout! You can read all about it with the link above.

Stairs: We have a flight of stairs leading up to our top floor and honestly nothing is better cardio wise than running up and down stairs. Do it about 50 times and you will have a great cardio workout. Plus if you don’t constantly stop like I do you can probably get it done fast!

Good Old Pinterest Workouts: If you check out my “I Work Out” Pinterest board I have a ton of great workouts there that I have pinned from other people and when I cant decide what to do I pick one or two of those and just get it done! Most of them don’t require a lot of equipment and are still full body workouts. There is even a great hotel room workout pin on there that I have used a ton of times when traveling!

So tell me do you have any great at home workouts?

I love yoga/pilates. It’s hard for me to keep up with anything that’s too much cardio and after a long day of being mom, it’s nice to do something slower and relaxing knowing that its great for my body too! Lately I’ve been loving the Denise Austin workouts!

  2. I wish I did have good at-home workouts, but I don’t have the discipline to work out at home. I HAVE to get out off the house, so that means running, riding my bike, going to Body Pump, or doing whatever it takes to do the workout OUTSIDE the home 🙂

  3. These are some great ideas for working out at home. Living in an apartment with a baby it’s difficult to get out and exercise or find exercises that aren’t too loud for the people downstairs–ha! I am in the middle of a Pinterest challenge I found that’s 30 days of push-ups, planks, crunches, and squats. It’s been hard but good! When that’s over I’ll have to give some of your other ideas a try.

  8. “Good Old Pinterest Workouts” are my go-to as well!

I printed out a bunch, glued them to index card, laminated them at the UPS store, punched a hole in each corner and put them on a metal ring. I’ll bring them to the gym with me and alter what I do each day. I especially love having HIIT treadmill, elliptical, and stairmaster workouts on the cards so I can have the info right in front of me on the machine. This method has worked great, I highly recommend it!

Is Teen Mom on Netflix? I haven’t watched it in years, but those names are familiar. I would totally love to try that workout! 🙂
