OK lets face it, I am a Makeup hoarder and one of the things I have way to many errrr plenty of is blush 🙂 I love blush!
So I wanted to share with you today a few of my Splurge vs. Steal for Blushes
So don’t get me wrong I love my fancy department store blushes but sometimes I want a new blush and I don’t want to break the bank. So I chose my two favorite splurges and my two favorite steals to share with you.
Test 1: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush vs. Revlon Blush: So I love the Tarte and I mean I love it! It stays on long and looks amazing. Then I bought the Revlon blush and OMG its amazing! I wouldn’t say it stays on quite as long but as far as first impressions the quality is comparable for sure. If you want to spend the money go for the Tarte but if not the Revlon IMO is just as good!
Test 2: My absolute favorite blush ever: NARS Orgasm vs. Physicians Formula. I love all things Physicians Formula so I knew the blush would be no different. I absolutely love it. I mean I love my NARS orgasm but my big complaint is I dont feel as thought it stays on quite as long as other blushes. While the quality is light and airy and you don’t feel like you have a ton of makeup on. For this I would probably say go with Physicians formula. You will get more for your money. Honestly though I will probably buy both.

I love Stila blush but it’s kind of pricey – I found a nice comparison in the Ulta brand and I absolutely love it! I think I paid $10!
Mixing in the steals with the spluges is like a fun adventure. Even if you bought something you’re not fond of, it was a steal, and no one has to cry!
I am so in love with Tarte blushes! (And their face oil). I always read about the Nars Orgasm, but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet to buy it. I love my physicians formula bronzer, so I would probably try their brand first. Which shade of the PF did you use? Was it similar to the Nars color?
I’ve been using e.l.f. baked blush lately, and so far I’ve been loving it, especially for the price. Thanks for sharing your steals! Lots of people can’t afford to buy super expensive makeup and it’s frustrating, when you just aren’t sure what cheaper ones are about as nice!
Hi Neely! It is hard to choose a favorite blush! I like Tarte’s cheek stain, The Balm’s Instain, and bare minerals loose blush. The Physican’s formula blushes are very good, though. Physican’s formula is certainly my drugstore pic. I have been wanting to try the Pacifica blush, too. Blush is one of those things that lasts a long time for me. I just throw it out every couple of years because I never use it all. The Body Shop makes a nice blush too!
Milani blushes are AMAZING! The color Luminoso is very close to the Nars. Also, Wet n Wild has amazing blushes for super cheap. I could keep going on and on and on and on about blush…. you should see my blush drawer. Yes, drawer. lol
I also use Milani Luminoso almost every day, and I bought it because I’ve read that it is a dupe for the Nars Orgasm blush. I really like the shimmery, peachy flush it gives me. The Balm Instain blush in Swiss Dot is also really nice, even though I was terrified of it at first because it looks so dark in the container.
I look at that nars blush every time i go to sephora! someday im going to buy it lol, lets be honest though, ill buy it for the stunning mat case and the name hahaha. although ive never found a better lipstick than NARS!
