If you are a dog person you will love this guest post and giveaway!

Hey guys! I’m Allie from A Day in A Joyful Life, my “personal lifestyle blog” where I write about my current obsessions, a bit about my life, and whatever else comes to mind.

I want to say thanks to Neely for letting me share with her readers today, and I hope that you’ll stop by and say hi on my blog, FacebookTwitter, or Instagram! I’m fairly new to blogging and while at times I still feel like I am searching for my niche, two things are certain: my love for my dog, and an appreciation for a good subscription box.

Casey is a rescue my husband and I adopted a little over 2 years ago. Through blogging, the two of us have been lucky enough to sample a few of the pet subscription boxes that are available. Even if you’re not a pet parent yourself subscription boxes make a great gift for the pet-enthusiasts in your life, so I’ve put together a guide including the best ones out there.

BarkBox

{for dogs}

Cost:
Starting at $18 per month {with a 6 month subscription}, or $29 monthly

Each month you will receive a box of at least 4 items which range from everything from toys and treats, to shampoos and dental chews. We subscribe to this box {keep your eyes open for Groupons!} and Casey has loved each box he’s received. While some of the items are sample size, I’ve found that for the most part these boxes are worth the monthly cost. I write reviews each month on my blog, so if you’re curious head over to adayinajoyfullife.com and click on the ‘BarkBox’ label. If you sign up using our referral link, Casey will get a free box– he says thank you in advance.

Extra info: BarkBox gives 10% of all proceeds to a local shelter or rescue.

Pawalla

{available for dogs and cats}

{read our review here}

Cost:
$26/month

Each month you will receive a selection of 6 or more all-natural wet foods, treats, healthy supplements, toys, and more. I was amazed by how much stuff came packed in this box: two cans of Halo wet food, a full-sized bag of treats, a full-sized bag of Pill Buddies, two tablets of pet stain remover {i.e., two spray bottles of the solution}, and two great quality toys. Since Casey is currently on a limited-ingredient diet I wouldn’t sign up for this box myself at this point in time, but that’s the only thing stopping me. The products they include are high-quality, and you get great value for your money.

Pets Love Toys

{for dogs}

{read our review here}

Cost:
$19.95-$24.95/month

After you fill out a survey about your dog’s preferences PetsLoveToys.com will put together a personalized monthly showroom for you to “shop” from, including toys, treats and chews that fit your dogs’ preferences. Once you make your selection they’ll send the box to you and you’re done! PetsLoveToys.com partners with great brands to provide you quality toys and treats. If you’re constantly at the pet store picking up these goodies for your pooch, it’s worth the monthly cost to have items that fit your pet’s interests and needs delivered right to your door.

Toys4Tails

{for dogs}

Cost:
Varies; 3, 6 and 12 month subscription packages are available, as are gift baskets

If your pup loves toys, this is for you. I had a blast browsing the wide selection of toys and treats available through this site and picking out a toy that I knew would be perfect for Casey. Toys and treats are split into categories: chew and tug, fetch, and splash, so you can narrow down the perfect item for your dog.

Some other boxes I haven’t tried personally but have heard good things about are: Best Friend Box {for dogs and cats}, PawBox {for dogs and cats}, Bugsby’s Box {for dogs}.

Today I’m excited to announce that one lucky reader {and pooch} will receive a box from my friends at PetsLoveToys.com!

I have my {almost} 500 GFC follower giveaway with my sponsors happening today too!! Stop over for a chance to win a pretty major prize!
