iPad Favorites

I am a huge lover of my iPad. I mean who doesn’t love an iPad if they have one?

I wanted to share my iPad Favorites with you today or the apps I really really love!

Oh hey there’s my iPad

1. Flipboard: So you want all of your news in one place? Then you should download this app. Celeb gossip, fitness, hardcore news, politics, local it has it all. It’s like making your own magazine of everything you want to read about.

2. Next Issue: If you are like me and used to subscribe to a ton of magazines and find yourself not being able to read them all and feeling like you were wasting money than this is for you. I believe the last time I bought a magazine it was around $5 for one. So for $15 a month I pay for Next Issue and get as many magazines as I want to read. People, Glamour, The New Yorker, Domino, Fitness, Self everything. Plus as long as I catch up with a few of these a month I feel like I am getting my money’s worth. It’s a great app for travel too because you can keep all your magazines in one place. Sure makes those flights go faster.

3. Padgram: Instagram for the iPad. Or as I call it: GIANT INSTAGRAM. But seriously it’s a great app to scroll through your feed when you don’t feel like looking at your phone. You can lay in bed look at pics, like your friends pics and comment away and the pictures are larger which helps those of us with terrible vision.

4. Kindle: So I must admit something: I am a book hoarder. Yes my name is Neely, and I am a book hoarder. Hi Neely. I download tons and tons of books with the intention of reading them. Sure they all get read the question is when and how often. Well I try to start a new book a week. If I can’t get into it about a quarter through I will usually move on. Sometimes I power through but again this makes travel so easy. I remember the days of stuffing 2-3 books and 5 magazines into my carry on. It was sooooo heavy. Now I have my large purse and iPad and I am ready to roll!

So what are your iPad Favorites? What do I need to download?

  3. Next Issue sounds awesome! I typically prefer to have physical copies when it comes to magazines, but it would be so nice for traveling and definitely beats paying the price at the newsstand!

I’ve never heard of Next Issue. I need to check it out! I rarely read magazines anymore because my kids rip them up and destroy them!

How is Padgram different than the Instagram app on the iPad?

After the kiddos I just switched to reading blogs instead of magazines 🙂 Feedly or Pocket works great for saving posts I love on the go. I also need my to-do app that syncs across all my gadgets – Swipes is my new love. I can program recurring tasks weekly without doing it every week, really convenient!
