It’s Winter. It’s Gross out(most places). No one wants to wake up on Monday mornings(or any morning) feeling groggy. Then there are those days where no amount of coffee is going to do the trick! AMIRITIE?

In a perfect world we could stay cuddled in bed with warm blankets and sleep all day but sadly for most of us we have to go to work, or get up with kids, go to class etc.

I wanted to share with you 5 Tips for a Great Nights Sleep that I’ve been trying the month on February and it has completely changed the way I feel every morning. Especially MONDAY mornings.

A lot of what I do may seem like common knowledge but when I added Febreze Sleep Serenity Bedroom Mist and ZzzQuil, a nighttime sleep aid to my bedtime routine, I knew I had a winner of a combo!

Here are my 5 Tips for a Great Nights Sleep
pin

1. Do a few yoga type stretches on the floor. I do these to calm my body down and feel really relaxed before I climb in bed.

  1. No cell phones or tablets! I used to be so bad about looking at Instagram till all hours of the night and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t fall asleep. Same with my tablet. Sure watching Netflix or reading a great book may be fun but you should probably cut it off about 30 minutes before you want to head to sleep.

3. Drink a good amount of water. This will leave you feeling hydrated and you will not wake up in the middle of the night super thirsty. This was such an eye opener for me. I would always wake up so thirsty then I couldn’t fall back to sleep. So not only are you awake in the middle of the night but it’s too late to do anything about it.

4. Leave your room smelling heavenly and dreamy. Pun intended. I love the Febreze Sleep Serenity Bedroom Mist collection; it comes in some AMAZING scents. My favorites are Moonlit Lavender and Warm Milk and Honey. I spray it all around my room and over my bed. The long lasting scent eliminates odors and creates a relaxing environment for a peaceful night’s rest.

5. If you have difficulty falling asleep try an over the counter sleep aid like ZzzQuil in liquid and LiquiCaps. The LiquiCaps go down super easy and the liquid tastes like berries. SERIOUSLY! *Note* Do not take both at the same time and Read the product label for using. ZzzQuil is not meant to be used nightly but only on occasional nights when you need help falling asleep easily. Like Sundays!

Then it’s lights out, fan on(because I like to be cold when I sleep), and eyes shut.

Since I started this routine I have felt so great in the mornings. I love starting my week feeling refreshed! I also now know what my body needs before bed to ensure I get a great night sleep. If I’m suffering from occasional sleeplessness, I have that trusty ZzzQuil around for help. I use the Febreze Sleep Serenity Bedroom Mist EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Andrew even is starting to love it! Now we are both getting a great night sleep!

Great tips! I am trying to be better about putting my phone away before bed time and just reading for a little bit. I also drink a lot of water, but my problem is that I wake up one or twice to go pee! I get so mad, haha!

  9. I have found stretching and yoga to be crazy relaxing at night, and I too am often guilty of keep my eyes on my phone before I shut them for the night. Ugh. Such bad habits. I luckily don’t have problems falling or staying asleep, it’s more the waking up part I have issue with. 🙂

  13. HAHAHA those pictures though, I love you Neelz! And I totally agree, I sleep cold also and my fiance sleeps HOT, so it’s always a battle over the fans and blankets! Haha! Shutting down tech also brings you closer with your love, because you’re taking those harsh blue lights out of the picture!
