Perfect Winter Lipstick

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Burt’s Bees. All opinions are 100% mine.

I think one of my main struggles with wearing lipstick in the winter is how much it can dry my lips out. I love having lip color on but recently I was introduced to Burt’s Bees new line of lipsticks Available at Target. I was sent this beautiful box of all of the new colors to try and I was so excited that so many of the colors were the perfect winter lipstick colors! Lots of darks, mauves, reds and purple tones. The best part is how moisturized and soft my lips felt. I had one of the lipsticks on all day during the holidays and I love that they hydrate and moisturize dry lips for 8 hours. Perfect for how chapped and dry lips get in cold weather.

The gorgeous lipsticks are 100% natural, have a creamy and lightweight feel which is perfect for everyday use and they come in 14 colors which means nearly everyone can find a color they love! Or many colors!

I wanted to test them on a few areas which to me personally I look for in a lipstick. First I want to see how pigmented it is. Will it fade easily, or when I am eating or drinking throughout the day? Then I wanted to see how it felt on. There are some lipsticks or lip products in general that immediately feel dry. This was NOT one of them. Right when I put it on I could tell how smooth and soft it felt on my lips and they did not feel dry then or 8 hours later. I also never had to reapply it. It faded a little due to drinking and eating but not enough so that I felt I needed more. That’s a great quality in a lipstick. My favorite colors I tried were: Lily Lake, Juniper Water, and Brimming Berry! I also LOVED Sunset Cruise for more daytime wear.

There are a lot of color options and a lot of them are great for all the time use but a few of them I would probably only use for date nights or parties and events. There are great basic shades for daytime use as well. I also really love the packaging. It’s very sleek and chic with the burt’s bees playfulness! Burt’s bees truly has the perfect winter lipstick!

What do you think? Is Burt’s Bees Lipstick something you would try?

  26. I’ve been wanting to try these! Did you find that they fade in patches? In the winter, when my lips are so dry, I find a lot of lipsticks will cling to the dry patches and then I have multitoned lips… not so cute. 🙂

I’m not sure if I commented before, but it’s okay to do it twice! I’ve tried Burts Bee before and sadly it didn’t go well as I wanted to. I think I’m allergic to beeswax. Regardlesss, the packaging is pretty and reminds me a mix of Nars and Bare Minerals lipstick designs.
