Podcasts Worth Listening To 2021

I have been a big podcast person for about 6 years now. Some of them I come and go on and some I religiously listen to no matter what. With the new year I am trying to focus on a few things with Podcasts: News, Self-Care/Self-Help, and then fun. So I wanted to share the podcasts worth listening to in those categories. It’s always a great time to add new podcasts to your list!

Podcasts Worth Listening To 2021

Political Podcasts Worth Listening To:

Pantsuit Politics: One of my friends suggested this one to me about 3 months before the election. The hosts, really dive deep into politics but in a way that is not in your face.

You’re Wrong About: I wouldn’t say this is ALL political but they have some political episodes. I loved their episode about the electoral college.

Axios Today: We follow Axios news because I feel it is the most bipartisan informative news. I love Axios Today to listen to each morning. It is a quick 10-minute podcast episode perfect for a drive somewhere just covering one short topic.

Axios Recap: Similar to above, it’s a short daily podcast that goes into something big that happened the day before.

Self-care and self-help Podcasts worth listening to:

Unruffled: If you are a Janet Lansbury fan for her amazing parenting advice this is her podcast. It is extremely helpful and there are SO MANY great topics!

Happier: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Gretchen Rubin. I have listened to her Happier podcast on and off for quite a while and there are certain episodes I go back to again and again. For example her nightly ritual episode.

10% Happier: If you read Dan Harris’ book of the same name this podcast is for you. His most recent episode that really resonated for me was his self-comparison episode.

Ted Talks Daily: I love me some Ted Talks. They are SO SO inspiring and I feel like you could easily scroll through to find some of your favorites already in there.

If you are trying to find podcasts worth listening to for this year and get started on a great foot of self-care and understanding politics more and just all around being more informed these are great options.

I have a TON of great podcast recommendations here in a variety of categories if you are looking for something specific.

I have to admit, I don’t listen to podcasts the way I once did. I used to LOVE them and mostly listened to blogging or entrepreneurial ones – but since audiobooks became a part of my life, podcasts went buhhh-bye haha! I should listen to a few every now and then to mix things up. Great recommendations!

I’ll have to download some of these — they all sound great. I LOVE You’re Wrong About but I haven’t listened to any of the others. Sometimes I wonder how I ever did house chores before podcasts, haha.

I haven’t listened to podcasts before, but it sounds like a great way to learn things and pass the time. A lot of my co-workers listen to podcasts during the day. I’ll have to check these out.

These are all great recommendations! I LOVE Unruffled. The 10% Happier podcast is awesome (his book is great too). But the podcast episodes are all soooo long!

  8. I love these recommendations as I’m always up for some podcast recommendations. I started listening to Happier some time ago but didn’t give it much of a chance, so will definitely add this one back onto my podcast show list. Lisa @ lovefromlisa.com
