Summer Baby Essentials

Summer in Texas is HOT! Having a new baby during the summer months really worried me because I wasn’t sure what we needed to keep him safe and protected. Since summer usually sticks around a few more months I figured this post was needed. After a LOT of research we came up with our summer baby essentials and I figured others may need this info as well!

Summer Baby Essentials

First things first is safety! I had no idea until I had a baby that you couldn’t or shouldn’t put sunscreen on a baby until 6 months (nor should they be out in the sun their first 6 months). Well now that Liam is 6 months we are loving our Babyganics sunscreen. It’s gentle on his very sensitive skin and makes me feel good knowing he’s covered. We also love the Cutter all family wipes to keep those pesky mosquitoes away. So far no bug bites for this little one.

Also to protect his sweet sensitive skin we love these hats and these sunglasses. He is pretty good about keeping them on and boy does he look precious in them!

He loves the water so we always have a rash guard on him. We have several and I love the built in sun protection. We are also huge fans of these pool floats that offer shade. He can kick and float around with us and we know the sun can’t get him!

When we head out on walks we love using a jogging stroller. We have a great one that Liam loves! We also love the DreamBaby stroller fans. We actually have two and it’s great to have a backup. I love the foam so that if he touches it, he doesn’t hurt himself.

Even though Liam can’t walk yet we do put him in shoes from time to time. We love the Sea Wees sandals and they are so cute! We have a few pairs and they look good with his nicer outfits 🙂

  2. Although all 4 of my babies are now to big for these (youngest is 4) I still love the Wipes especially if the whole family can use them that’s a bonus! Thanks so much for sharing.

  3. I agree with all of the above! My jogging stroller and that fan are some of my favorite baby essentials. Now Chloe always tries to stop the fan and mess with it.

The cutter wipes are so useful. We’ve been getting a lot of rain and there’s more to come so the mosquitoes are going to be everywhere.
