Hey friends! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend. We enjoyed 2 horrible storms…ok enjoyed is the wrong word. I don’t think I have had a good nights sleep in 3 weeks because we’ve had a storm almost every night. I believe it rained 24/31 days in May! But Saturday after the rain stopped it was a good day and fun night seeing Aloha. I loved the move contrary to what all the reviews said.
Anyways. I wanted to talk about Summer TV Show Prep! I know a lot of people dread Summer TV because your usual shows aren’t on but I love it. Some of my favorite shows are summer shows so I always look forward to it.
Orange is the New Black: I am so excited for season 3. It’s going to be tough to wait for Andrew to get home from work that Friday so we can watch season 3. I will most likely want to stay up all night watching it while I imagine Andrew will get bored after 2 episodes. Last year we watched the entire second season in one day! Seriously so excited for season 3 🙂
Astronaut Wives Club: This was advertised non stop during TGIT this spring and I also downloaded the book. I am hoping to read the book before the show starts. It has some of my favorite people cast in it so I think it will be a fun summer show. Plus I love period TV shows.
Madame Secretary: I know this isn’t a summer show. However we recorded it all season so we could watch it in the summer because we didn’t have time to watch it during the year.
Rich Kids of Beverly Hills: Such a guilty pleasure E! show.
Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise: Don’t even act like you don’t watch.
Masterchef: We love this show and are so excited it’s back!!
Halt and Catch Fire: One of our favorite new shows last year. Such an interesting show about the start of the personal computer era. Very 80s fabulous and I suggest if you don’t know a ton about computers have someone like my husband who understands it to explain it to you haha!
As far as summer TV show prep goes what are you prepping for?
I couldn’t be more excited for OITNB! Bring it on!! Summer’s also the time I like to choose some shows I didn’t get to watch during the Fall to go back and binge watch.
Bachelor in Paradise is a must! The Astronaut Wives Club looks REALLY good too. I hadn’t heard of that, so thank you! I always love watching Big Brother during the summer too 🙂

Astronaut Wives Club looked great to me, too, but let’s be real, Bachelor in Paradise is really where it’s at. Is that going to be on while The Bachelorette still is???
There is this one show coming out but I cannot remember the name. I’ll have to watch for it. When does OITNB coming out. I am so ready! I will lock myself in my room away from screaming kids to watch it.
I’m definitely pumped about OITNB and I was curious about The Astronaut Wives Club. I had no idea it was based off of a book. I might have to check that out. I’m excited for Hannibal to come back!
Neely, there are so many shows with which I am not familiar, some of which you have mentioned. Maybe should watch some summer reruns to see if I might like the one you have mentioned. My hubby is into all the CSI shows and such, so we don’t get too much variety.
I love my summer shows! Pretty Little Liars, Devious Maids, Rookie Blue and Rizzoli and Isles are some of my favorites. I’m excited to check out Astronaut Wives Club!
I am super excited for OITNB season 3, I am going to be sad when this show ends! I am also really excited about the Astronaut Wive’s Club I love those kind of shows and this one looks like a good mix of fun and drama type television. I’ve been a little bored with the Bachelorette this season, I just think Kaitlyn is boring and the guys aren’t really all that great either, BUT oh Bachelor in Paradise YES! Can’t wait to chat some good TV with you soon!
