Tips To Drink More Water

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of EveryDrop™. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have written posts before on tips to drink more water, and with it being the hottest part of the summer (at least in Texas) I figured I would share some again. Some of these are new and some of these are things I have talked about before.

Tips To Drink More Water

  1. Carry it with you: I know for me when I have it with me in the car or if I am carrying water in my hand while running errands, going through Target, shopping around the mall, I am far more likely to drink a ton of it. I suggest getting a cute tumbler and the PopOut Filter from Whirlpool and keeping it full 24/7. I like doing this because it saves money too.
  2. Drink a big glass first thing in the morning: I keep a tumbler of water by my bed at night and I try to finish off whatever is left in it when I wake up. I just sit on the side of my bed and gulp it down. It’s a good habit to get into so that you are hydrated before any breakfast, coffee, etc. Especially if you are a morning caffeine drinker, because caffeine can be very dehydrating.
  3. Use a filtration pitcher and always keep it full: We are big fans of having pitchers of clean fresh cold water in our fridge. Recently we have been using the Whirpool EveryDrop™ PopOut Filter & Pitcher. It has a 12 cup capacity so we usually refill it every other day or so. It also fills up super fast: freshly filters water 5X faster* than other leading brand water filtration pitchers. Water at the Speed of Life® that’s 1 gallon of great-tasting water filtered in just two minutes!  The EveryDrop™ PopOut Filter & Pitcher is available in stores like Walmart—and online or use the EveryDrop™ Pitcher Store Locator. By always keeping the pitcher full there is no excuse to not have a tumbler or glass full of water at all times.
  4. When you eat: I try to drink a full glass of water with every meal. Not only does it help your food digest, but it also helps you not over eat and helps you stay hydrated. So much win!
  5. Use an app/set reminders: Andrew uses the Water Drink Reminder app which alerts him to drink more water. You can customize it to alert you as frequently as you want. I know a lot of people who set hourly reminders for themselves in their Google calendars. The point is you can have these things remind you as needed. After a few weeks you probably won’t need the reminders anymore.

These are my favorite tips to drink more water. These are the things Andrew and I do to ensure that we are both drinking lots of water. He also uses flavored packets (sugar free) to put in his water to make it taste a little more fun. I don’t personally like them, but both he and my dad love them. There are so many tips to drink more water that will really help it become more of a habit and less of a chore.

I try to have it sitting right in front of me on the desk. I’m always thirsty, so if it’s right there, I’ll grab that instead of getting a soda.

These are super great tips to drink more water! Love it. I am already a big water drinker and so are my kids – because I barely have anything beyond just milk and water in the home. I use water bottles already set up in the fridge, this helps ensure kids grab that all the time!

  38. Great tips Neely! I always bring water with me when I’m going shopping, because I get so thirsty, but rarely think to stop and get something to drink. I also like using my S’well bottle, because it keeps my drinks cold, even if I leave it in the car while I’m in the store.

Having it with you is defintely something I need to keep in mind. Another fun way to keep track of your water in take is Plant Nanny app. Every time you drink you get to water the plant and it’s how you keep it alive eventually it grows. It’s fun to see your plant grow.

  43. If you have water with you, whether you’re walking or driving around, you’d definitely be able to drink more. Making sure you always have your bottle filled would probably be a good idea as well. I would imagine that getting bottled water delivered to your home could be a great way to always have some with you.
