I recently went on a trip for a blog conference to Philadelphia. Andrew and I are spending our honeymoon in Hawaii for 9 days. After that we are going on a trip to DC/NYC for 10 days and then I will be in Salt Lake City for a blog conference in January. I for sure have the travel bug. I love to travel. I hate packing and unpacking but I love love love to travel. Traveling with Andrew is great because we have the same go with the flow attitude as far as traveling is concerned. I also love to explore a new place alone.
I have quite the long list of places I would love to visit but these are some places Andrew and I have talked about visiting in the next year or two:
Napa: Andrew has been before but I have not. I have been to a lot of California aside from Northern so I am really excited to possibly go to Napa for our birthdays.
Italy: This was a discussed honeymoon spot and now we are talking about possibly going for our one year anniversary. Neither of us have been to Italy. While I have been to parts of Europe Italy would be a fun trip.
Colorado: Unfortunately we did not get to visit while Andrews older brother was doing his residency there but we would love to go for a low key vacation.
Las Vegas: I have been twice and both times were family trips. I would love to go and just see some fun shows and shop.
South Carolina: Andrew’s parents just built a vacation home in South Carolina so I am sure we will be taking many trips there in the next year errr many years.
What is next on your travel agenda?
My husband and I want to go to Italy, too! We’ve never been. I’ve been to Colorado many times because my sister lives there. Napa sounds wonderful!
I love to travel and don’t mind packing because I’m so excited. It’s coming back down to earth and unpacking that I hate. 🙂
Hawaii is the perfect honeymoon destination! What fun!
I LOVE to travel. I always look forward to planning a trip and usually have a couple lined up. My mom, daughter and I are taking a girls cruise at the end of October to St. Maarten, St. John and Castaway Cay. So exited for another girls trip it’s been 18 months since our last one. You are going to have so much fun in Hawaii – it is one of our favorite vacation destinations!
We want to do Paris and London. I have been to both, but the hubby hasn’t:) Looove traveling..
You have compiled a worthy list! Italy is on mine.
I like the idea of staying in a lakeside villa in Italy. I also want to go to the Loire Valley.
Man, take me to them all. Currently I have enjoyed visiting new places in Texas but I wouldn’t mind seein’ Africa or South/Central America
Lucky I do not have to travel as I live on the beach in Northern California. We have redwoods, beaches, and water sports year around . It’s paradise here. San Francisco is just an hour away. Napa is where my family is so I spend a lot of time there. You will love it. It very romantic for you two lovebirds. Napa has great charm aside from the wineries. Great dining and restaurants. Take a trip to Sonoma and St. Helena for gorgeous scenery and great food. Enjoy.
We travel somewhere every year on our anniversary – its a fun way to celebrate!
We definitely have the travel bug in a big way since our honeymoon four years ago. I HATE the packing part and the actual getting there and back part but love everything else. We were in MX in December, we just got back from NYC and we are going to Hawaii for the 3rd time next year. Greece has been on my list for a looooong time. We’ve taken other trips and it’s gone on the back burner but I think it will happen within the next 2-3 years. I’m a big Vegas fan!! It’s close so we go every year.
I am coming back to your blog to live vicariously through you and your trips! LOL I haven’t been on a plane in four years 🙁
Im currently planning our honeymoon to France and Ireland and I can’t wait! But one suggestion!! Do Sonoma Valley if you head to Napa. They wine is better, more affordable, and the people are less stuffy. My husband and I are complete winos and travel to vineyards a lot, Sonoma is our favorite. Check out Dutcher’s Crossing if you go!!
PS I love your site name. I used to always say that if I was having a bad night out.

Italy and Vega are definitely on my lists and we have friends who live in Arizona and Colorado so those as well. A vacation home in SC…that must be absolutely beautiful and definitely a great geat away destination!
You should definitely go to NAPA.
Aside from my obvious partiality, I highly recommend Northern California. This state is so large and diverse and it’s amazing how much Northern and Southern are different!
Paris!! I’ve always dreamed of going there. I have been to Italy and LOVED it!! If I could, I would move there in a heartbeat!!
I’m pretty much up for any travel anywhere any time! I love your lists–especially since Kiawah Island made it on there! (I live in Charleston, which is only just up the road.) I really want to visit more of Western Europe, Australia, and southeast Asia. 🙂
I am definitely going to San Francisco, Seattle, Halifax and maybe some british isles in the near future. I need a getaway. We used to travel all the time but with the little one, it is increasingly difficult…

I have a few smaller trips coming up, but a big trip next year to Greenland and Iceland. I live near Napa and there is so much to do there – good choice! I loved Italy, been there many time, most recently in May, want to go back again and again! I always have the travel bug too!
Love the pictures! I’ll probably be traveling to either China or San Diego.
Italy and Napa are definitely on the top of my list. I have a one-year-old son and he is quite fussy when it comes to travel. We will start traveling again in a couple of years 🙂
Italy, Colorado & Vegas. All places on my list to see too.
One, Italy is gorgeous and I’ve always wanted to go there and fill up on pizza, bread and wine.
Two: Colorado has amazing climbing.
Vegas: Because we’re now simply driving distance there!!!
All great locations to visit! I haven’t been to that corner of South Carolina yet…will have to look it up, it looks beautiful! We’re over-traveled (boo-hoo, right?) right now after a few years of a LOT of time on the road. Right now my backyard is our destination!
I have always wanted to visit Colorado. Our next vacation spot will be NYC in October. Definitely looking forward to a visit back home. Enjoy the lights, shopping, food, friends and family.

Minus Vegas (not my scene, and I’ve been there before, haha) your list is pretty dead on with mine! 🙂 I didn’t get to travel before I had kids, and now that my son is almost two, I’m not so sure I’ll be traveling anytime soon. Haha, but all of those places are on my travel wish list! 🙂
Italy is as charming as it feels like in the movies. The food is out of this world, and the cities are so romantic. YOU MUST GO.
Paris & London. I have traveled throughout Europe with my parents, but I have never done it sans the ‘rents and I would love to explore a bit more on my own.
We’re off to Morocco for our two year anniversary in Nov which I’m so excited for! Other than that, no other travel plans for the time being. There are so many places I’d love to go though!

Beautiful pictures in this post! I’m off to London on my next trip.
I highly recommend Italy, especially Florence. 🙂
I loveeeee to travel too! We have been to Vegas. I would love to go abroad with my hubby we have been separately but not together and I want to take him to California! He’s never been which is mind boggling to me I think he will love it! Happy traveling!
I love to travel, but as of lately I haven’t been able to do as much of it as I would like! Italy is lovely!
Huummm this is a great question someone just asked me this yesterday. I don’t have anything slatted for right now. But I would like to get on a plane and go some where wonderful and random on a long weekend. Totally unplanned except for the where! Have fun!
I always have the travel bug. BIGTIME. You just got me going even more.
Whoa! You are def getting your travel time in! I’m super jealous lol. I totally want to go to Napa and Italy I also want to try Australia and Ireland and I’d love to go back to Africa!
I love traveling !I’ve been so caught up here at home. My husband travels so we’re back and forth from Sacramento- Los Angeles. It gets a bit hectic. I also hate unpacking lol!
I’ve been to all except for SC! I got engaged in Napa so that’s my vote. If you choose Napa, my only advice is to make sure and check out the small vineyards too. They are so charming! My husband proposed at St. Clemente Vineyard. Xo
I would love to visit all of those places. We also need to make it to Nova Scotia and LA some day.
I love all of the pictures. i also love all the places. I want to go to all of them too. I love traveling, but the packing and unpacking and laundry not so fun. I cant wait to see all the wedding pictures.
I’d love to visit London to experience the culture there, as well as the beauty and elegance of Italy. Thanks for sharing such great photos with us. Enjoy your travels!
Is this your first time going to Alt Summit??
Where are you going in Hawaii? I LOVE Maui, I have family there so it’s my favorite island. It’s got just enough modern amenities but you still have the ability to lose yourself in the middle of nowhere — my idea of perfect 🙂
I have to confess that I am not a big fan of travel. I KNOW. I am a monster. BUT, I’m getting married in February and we are going to Hawaii for our honeymoon and I’ve been getting this little spark in me to plan more trips for us to go on as husband and wife next year!
What a fun list! You should definitely add Greece! I’ve been to Italy twice – it’s amazing. But, I need to go back so I can visit the Amalfi Coast.
We are heading to DC and New Orleans in the next month, and planning a road trip from Dallas to Nashville, Memphis, and Hot Springs in the spring!
Next time I get on a 9 hour flight, it will be to Spain or Hawaii!
I live in Las Vegas and I have new things to do pretty much every single weekend. Really on weekdays too. It’s awesome. I love living here, but there is so much more to Vegas than Shows and shopping! I highly recommend experiencing it a few times.
