Yes if you have been following me on Instagram you saw last Friday Andrew and I closed on our first home together. This is actually a long time coming! We started looking at houses in November on a whim. We originally said we wouldn’t start looking until February. We looked at TONS of houses. We settled on an area that we loved and we actually went under contract on one house there. However the foundation ended up being unable to pass inspection so we moved on. I actually found out about the foundation in mid January. So back to drawing board. We looked at a few more houses and one day after looking at several a house came on the market we HAD to see. We were on our way home and called our realtor who we had just seen about this house. It went on the market at 4 PM and we saw it at 6 PM. Then around 8 PM we put in an offer and the next day it was accepted!
That was in February. We had to give our apartment 2 months notice since we were moving out before our lease was up. Thankfully someone rented our current place.
This leads us to last Friday when we officially closed on our house! OUR HOUSE! I still can’t believe it’s ours. It’s perfect.

After we closed we had a few hours to kill before we got our keys so we ran some errands. Then after we got the keys we headed to the house. We did a few things around there and then came home to eat.
Saturday we went to a few Targets and home depot. Andrew did some things around the house and I picked out pillows for our front porch swing. I am obsessed with the swing. I have been dreaming of sitting on the swing with a cup of coffee for MONTHS! Now I get to!

We officially move in a little over a week and I can’t wait to show you guys more of the house! I am so excited to finally share with you all that we bought a house!

Yaaaaaay! So excited for you guys! I totally know how you feel. We looked and looked and LOOKED and lost three before finding the one. And it happened just that fast with the right one for us, too! I can’t wait to see more! So happy for you guys! It’s a gorgeous home and I too love the porch swing!
