I love to read and will pretty much devour any book you put in front of me but just like most people I can get into reading ruts. If you find yourself in a reading rut these are 5 books that will make you love reading again.

5 Books That Will Make You Love Reading Again

The Idea Of You: The Idea Of You is one of those books that anyone who reads it has a VERY specific opinion about it. You either love it and want to get everyone you know to read it and talk about it with you, or you somehow don’t love it and honestly, I don’t know what to do with you if you don’t love this book. It’s about a 39-year-old divorced mom who meets and starts a relationship with a 20-year-old boyband superstar (think Harry Styles). It’s VERY spicy, very well-written, and very addictive.

In Five Years: This one was a book I could not stop reading and I believe I stayed up till 3 AM to finish this book in one day. It takes a lot of twists I didn’t see coming and ends completely different from how I expected it to. It’s about Dannie who has everything all together: an amazing job and great finance. Then wakes up 5 years later with a different ring on her finger, in a different apartment. This is VERY brief and then she goes back to the present and suddenly meets the man who is in her apartment five years later. This is a book that will not at all be what you expect. It’s truly wonderful and meaningful and the friendship aspect is the best.

Every Summer After: The most recent of these books that I have read and this was another I could NOT put down. I pretty much ignored all responsibilities for two days and read this book any chance I could. It’s about Persephone “Percy” and Sam and they meet when they are 13. There are flashes between them as adults when Percy goes home for the first time in 12 years to the past and every summer after they met. Obviously, this is a romance so expect a little spice.

The Unhoneymooners: Imagine if EVERYONE at a wedding got horrible food poisoning other than the maid of honor and best man? Also, imagine if they then had to go on the honeymoon so it didn’t go to waste? Now imagine if they hated each other. This book is laugh-out-loud funny and very sexy. I love pretty much all Christina Lauren books but this is my favorite.

Reminders Of Him: Colleen Hoover’s newest book is one that if you’ve never read a Colleen Hoover book would have you hooked. I could say that for so many of her books but this one gutted me. It’s the story of Kenna who spent 5 years in prison for a mistake she will never forgive herself for and unfortunately neither will the people raising her 5-year-old daughter she’s never seen. Then there’s Ledger, the only person willing to give Kenna a chance until he finds out who she is. This is one you must read!

I hope you find some of these books as wonderful as I did. All books I would reread again and again because they are truly that wonderful!

What is one book that made YOU love reading again?

I absolutely agree with In Five Years (or really anything by Rebecca Serle – her books are phenomenal)! The only other one I’ve read is The Unhoneymooners (and it’s not my fave out of all the Christina Lauren books) but I haven’t read the others! I’ll have to give them a go one of these days.
