5 Inexpensive Ways To Make Halloween Fun For Kids

Pumpkin Carving: You can easily grab a pumpkin at the grocery store or a local pumpkin patch and carve or paint it with your kids. This is NOT expensive and very fun for kiddos to do.

Check out the free events in your area: Living in Dallas there are TONS of free family events at churches, schools, etc.

Go to free pumpkin patches: I know a lot of pumpkin patches can cost money to get into and it’s usually fairly reasonable but so many are free! They may be smaller but honestly, your kids won’t even care. They will just be happy to run around with the pumpkins. A lot of churches have them!

Make Halloween treats: I love to peruse Pinterest and find a good Halloween treat to make with or for the kids! My kids also love a snack tray! Hit up Trader Joe’s and make a fun fall/Halloween-themed snack board for the kiddos!

Boo your neighbors: This does cost money but you can go as big or small as you want. Hit up the Target dollar spot or the dollar store and get some fun treats! Leave them on a friend’s or neighbor’s porch. Maybe include some fun Halloween treats and a special craft!

What is your go-to inexpensive way to make Halloween fun for kids?
