So yesterday A and I went to a bar in the early evening(yes on a Thursday) to meet our videographer in order to do some interviews for our wedding video. Before we did the interviews A and I were chatting about how cool the bar was and I said “why don’t we go out more, this bar is cool!?” A said “Because we like to stay home on our couch where we can have wine and relax.”
My first thought was also that at home I don’t have to wear a bra. I can have my hair in a pony tail, no bra, jammies the works!
So lets lay it out there the pro’s and cons
Or rather the Bars vs. Bras (or no bras) as it would be.
Bars: Getting dressed up is fun! Putting on a cute outfit, makeup, doing your hair but wait….
Bras: You can stay home and not wear a bra…duh
Bars: You feel good about yourself when you are dressed up. You feel like “wow I actually put some effort into my appearance for once this week”
Bras: Are like a boobie zoo. They are not comfortable and lets be real…no one likes them. The entire time you are out you are thinking of that moment where you can go home and take that horrific thing off.
Bars: You have the opportunity to meet and mingle with new people, even if you are in a couple…there are always couples out
Bras: At home you know the person you are with, you love them…who needs friends?
Bars: Do not have Netflix
Bras: At home you have Netflix
Bars: Drinks get expensive…and the food is unhealthy
Bras: Drinks at home are free and you can whip up a healthy snack
Bars: Have Trivia and Karaoke
Bras: Even if you have that at home…your fiancee(ok my fiancee) is sooooo not interested
Bars: Have super unclean bathrooms
Bras: You know that you clean that bathroom at home….you know the last person who was in there…..TMI?
Bars: Why do they charge for water?
Bras: Water is freeeeee at home
Bars: You cant really hear your phone if someone calls
Bras: Im still going to decline your call cause really Im in the middle of a great Orange is the new Black episode
Bars: So tired…oh gosh it’s only 10:30????
Bras: In bed by 9 watching Friends reruns and realizing “Yeah this is much better”
Bars: Annoying drunk girls bumping into you in their 4 inch heels and sketchy outfits
Bras: Your fiancee bumps into you while you are brushing your teeth
So guys I leave it up to you….which do you think is better? Bars or Bras(or the lack there of)?

Bras win every time! I might not meet new people hanging out on my couch with my “Barely There’s” but I also won’t get vodka spilled down my blouse. P.S. cute post.
PREACH IT SISTER!!!!!! With the girls that I have, it’s stay-at-home all the time. Unfortunately, I’ve been wearing a bra 24/7 since I was four months pregnant and K is now four months old! At least the bras that I’m wearing are SUPER-DUPER comfy and I don’t mind them. But I still enjoy being at home, in my comfy clothes, contacts out/glasses on, and chillin’ like a villain!!!!!
HUGS for you on this Friday, have a great weekend. 🙂
xo,
Nicole
No bras all the way!
The best!! Finding new shows on Netflix is basically like meeting new people so it’s a win win! And there’s nothing more glorious than not wearing a bra. Except when it’s paired with not wearing pants.
No Bras!!! I don’t mind stopping at a bar on the way home from work for one or two drinks, but once I’m home for the day, I’m not leaving! Boobie Zoo – perfectly said!
Thank YOU! I dont want to go anywhere where I have to wear a bra, cant drink wine without paying for it, and doesnt have Netflix. I’m such a home body. Even when we go out I’m thinking about being home. This is why I dont hang with my friends anymore because they are still stuck in college mode. lol
Hilarious post! Since I’ve got 4 kids and stay at home I do like to get dressed up occasionally and go out with friends.. but it’s never past 10 pm when I get home lol.
Def the NO BRAS!!! I hate going to loud places.. call me a young granny… but I hate not being able to hear the person I am talking to.
Bras win for sure! But if you asked me five years ago….. Funny how thing’s change!
I may be a weirdo but I actually like my bra! Lol I sleep in my bra and don’t leave home without it. Note: I’m a 32A and I only wear Victoria Secret Bombshell Bras which make me look like I’m a C Cup. Lol
Haha new reader here and I’m so glad I found you 😀 You’re hilarious and I agree with this whole debate. Though I’ve never really been a bar person, more of a house party girl. Both require bra’s though so there’s that lol
Haha I love this! I pick bras every time over bars although you could always go to a bar without a bra!
No Bras! I am incredibly busy during the week, dividing my time between teaching preschoolers, graduate school and yoga teacher training. When the weekend rolls around I love being able to know that I don’t have to move a muscle and can just chill. Once I am done with graduate school I do want to try to shower more come saturday – I just realized I haven’t since before work yesterday (friday)! Oh well – ya win some, ya lose some!
LOL, this is awesome. And so, so, so true.
I’m going to send you an email about video now… 🙂
No bras for sure. I don’t mind going out once in a while but I really like being at home with no bra and my hair up in a messy ponytail and sweats. ha.
Netflix, yoga pants, wine out of a mason jar and my favorite throw win EVERYTIME! 🙂
Love this. Anti-bra aka home wins every time.
I’ve never been a bars person so I will definitely come down with bras.
LOL Hilarious post. I’m all for at home over a bar any day.
Just say no! (To bars). Love the layout of your blog. Funny post. Keep it up! Visiting through SITs.
haha I love this! I don’t mind my bra, really, but once I met my husband, the bar scene just seems so blaaah. We go out once and in blue moon now, and it’s fun, because we only go out once in a blue moon lol We’d much rather be at home curled up on the couch, looking like a pair of hot messes, watching some crazy eyes and dandelion too 😉
hahahaha I loved this! I have opted for many netflix marathons and bra free nights!
This made me laugh so much, because it’s all so true!!
Ha! I love this! And I will take No Bras every single time, TYVM. Only problem is, whenever I am in that state, I find I have to step outside for something (like letting the dog out) and invariably, I will run into a neighbor. Who wants to chat. They probably think I am always cold, b/c I keep my arms crossed over my chest. 😉
