Being Confident With My Body

This post is created in partnership with o.b.® tampons and Socialstars however all thoughts and opinions are my own #OBelievers

Being-Confident-With-My-Body

Being confident with my body is something I have struggled with my entire life. Maybe it’s the years of dance and cheerleading and constantly feeling compared to other girls with skinnier and more “perfect” figures. Who knows. I do know that there is no “right” body. We are all made differently and we are all beautiful. Still I struggle. I do not see what is in that picture below. I see flaws, I see imperfections and I am working on that.

Eating healthy and working out are so important but I have to remind myself that my life is not a number on a scale. My worth is not a number or the size of my jeans.

I love the message of  o.b.® tampons. I love using them for so many reasons. Every woman’s body is different, again there is no “right” shape or size. So o.b.® tampons are designed to help stop leaks by expanding all-around to fit each unique shape. Fluid-Lock® grooves for locked-in leak protection. The only one with SilkTouch™ cover for ultimate comfort and protection.

Any company that promotes a healthy body image and the idea that we are all perfect, beautiful, and wonderful is a company I can get behind.

I share my struggle with you all because it’s a way for me to remind myself that there is nothing wrong with having flaws. There is nothing wrong with not being a size 2. We, as women, have to stop comparing ourselves to others and stop relying on the world to tell us what beautiful and “right” is.

Hopefully by sharing my struggle with my body it will inspire you guys to share your struggles. We can release them and let them go! Let’s embrace our struggles and give each other the confidence to feel good in our skin! Being confident with my body is something I strive for.

What about you?

I so get this! It took me until I was in my late twenties (currently 30) to finally learn to love my body/self fully. I think this is one of those things that many, many women struggle with. So glad you’re learning to embrace your body, flaws and all!

Beautiful reminder! The act of comparison will always leave you feeling defeated and it is just not healthy. We are all unique and beautiful in our own way, and as you said there is no right size or shape. Love this!

  10. Great post! As women, body image is something we all struggle with. It’s important to realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and there isn’t one woman in the entire world that everyone would agree is beautiful. When I have those negative thoughts about myself, I immediately tell myself 3 things I love. 🙂

I think it is all to common for women to have body issues, and I hate that we are made to feel that we should look a certain way. You are beautiful, and I hope that you will continue with the positive self talk.

  12. It doesn’t matter what body type people have, we all have parts of ourselves that we feel like we need more confidence about. Right now I struggle with my post-baby self.. Positive self talk is a great thing!

I so appreciate this Neely. My doctor recently told me that I needed to lose weight and it was really hard to hear for someone who already feels a little insecure about her body. I’ve since started exercising more and eating healthier and it’s making a big difference in my overall health and my happiness (and I’m losing some weight too). Thank you for sharing your struggle and for the reminder that I have worth regardless of a number on a scale.

The message of this campaign is fantastic. I think pretty much all women, even the ones that have what would be considered the “ideal” body struggle with body image because no matter how awesome you are there is no such thing as perfect and we can always find something we want to change , so I think its so important for all women to be more accepting of themselves.

Great message and campaign! I think all women struggle to some extent with confidence regarding their looks and their body. I think growing older helps you resolved some of those issues and to deal with them appropriately. I look back at pictures of my 20 something self and remember how fat I thought I was…even though I was 5″7 and 120 lbs. Now, I am happy to be healthy and feeling confident and in charge.

  23. Thank you for such an uplifting article. Women are so critical of themselves and sometimes it does cause loss of confidence . I am glad that ob tampons recognizes the uniqueness of each body and used that idea to come up with a perfect product!
