Oh I am a binge watching FOOL! Give me a couch and a latte and find me again 12 hours later and I will be done with the current season of Orange is the New Black.
2 weekends ago Andrew and I spent most of Friday and Sunday watching the newest season of Orange is the new Black. I do not want to spoil anything because I know a lot of people haven’t finished it yet but it did not disappoint.
Because that is such a binge worthy show I wanted to share what I think the best shows to binge watch are.
1. Dexter: I did not come into loving Dexter until right before season 5. I powered through the first 4 seasons in a matter of 2 weeks and loved every second of it. While I am not a fan of the way it ended its a great show to binge on.
2. Lost: OK so I watched LOST the entire time it aired but since I have rewatched it and its binge worthy for sure. I love going back to watch it because the show would take so many breaks when it aired that watching it all together is pretty fun. Especially now that years later I have come to terms with how it ended.
3. The Hills: OK judge all you want but there is something about mindless TV I love and the Hills is my favorite. If I am sick or have nothing to do when Andrew is out of town I will put on season 1 and just go through it all. Oh how silly it is and how good it is.
4. Friends: The classic. We watch friends almost nightly but we also DVR episodes even though we have them all and sometimes just watch 10 at a time without even realizing it. Andrew calls me Monica….sigh.
5. Survivor: Andrew didn’t get into survivor till we started dating and I’ve been watching it since it premiered. So once he decided he really loved it we downloaded all the seasons and have been watching them. It’s fun for me because I forget a lot of what happened and when I know who won it’s fun watching Andrew be surprised.
What are your favorite shows to binge watch?
I seriously must be the only person who doesn’t care for OITNB. I don’t get the hype!!! Is it because it’s “shocking”? I have a problem when I hate about 95% of the characters on the show in a bad way. LOL. But yes to everything else!
I agree…OITNB, and my husband and I also binge watched Downton Abbey since we didn’t get on the train immediately when it first came out. That one was GREAT to binge watch!

Love LOST, I need to watch it again. And I’ve also watched Friends many many times (love it, too).
I’m currently binge watching Pretty Little Liars. I’m also a wee bit obsessed with Gilmore Girls. (And find it amusing that those two shows use the same studio lot.)
Love OINTB. I finished the 2nd season in two days haha. I agree about the Hills! I love the sense of nostalgia that goes along with the Hills. I remember watching it with all of my girl friends in high school and college.
I would add The Office and Scandal to the list. The Office is hilarious and a great show to keep on as you clean the house or something and Scandal is just plain amazing!

I watched OITNB in a mere 2 days. Now we will have to wait, hopefully patiently, for season 3 eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later!
I did a TV themed post today as well! Orange was also on my list– I still haven’t started season 2 yet, but am sure I’ll be hooked as soon as I do start watching it! Friends will never get old and definitely no judgement on The Hills– sometimes those old mindless shows are the perfect thing to watch!
I am also guilty of binge watching any of the Real Housewives shows!!! I also got hooked on Pretty Little Liars while I was in grad school and decided to save money by not getting cable! So I only had internet and netflix!!! I was hooked!! 🙂
I absolutely loved the new season of OITNB! I felt like the day and a half it took me to watch it was too long. Haha! I’ll definitely have to look into ‘Lost’. I just finished rewatching ‘Greek’ on Netflix and need a new show to get immersed in.
I love to binge watch The Office, Gilmore Girls, and Firefly. I’ll usually go on a mini-binge for any show that I watch on Netflix, though.
For those who have husbands that will binge watch an awesome show with you like OITNB…. y’all are so lucky!!!!!! I watch alone… and my husband hates it because I ignore him! We will binge watch the BBQ Cook off shows together.
I feel like I am the only one who doesn’t watch OITNB. I think I need to check it out!!
I love The Hills! …Is OITNB on Netflix? I missed the first season but I’d love to watch it!
Friends, Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, and House of Cards. Haven’t started OITNB yet. But it’s on my list.
House of Cards is a great one. We just started Season @ or OITNB!
LOVE OITNB! I tried really hard not to binge watch the second season though because I wanted to make it last…I only made it last a week xD I need to start watching Friends, I feel like I’m the only person who hasn’t seen an episode. Great post!
I love Lost! It is one of my favorites. My dad, brother and I watched the first 5 seasons in a month and a half. We caught up in time for season 6 and did not enjoy having to wait a week between each season. I also love Friends and watch it all the time!
We binge-watched LOST and Friday Night Lights. Both so good!

Man I miss Laguna Beach and The Hills! So happy for LC’s success! I bought the entire series of Lost since I missed some episodes but haven’t started it yet. It was soooo creepy but soooo good! I haven’t watched orange is the new black but everyone raves about it. So busy with the blog and my book club not enough time to watch tv!

Ah, I was trying enjoying OITNB but the language and scenes are a little much for me at times. I’m not sure if I will get back into it. I definitely have binge watched The Hills. Lol!
Breaking Bad was definitely a binge show for me; I couldn’t just watch one! Also The Office. That’s my zone out show for when I want to watch something but have something else to do while I’m watching it. I have it on a lot when I’m at home.
Love OITNB!!! I wish I could finish season 1 faster but due to work & school it is taking forever.

ha! I did this last year with a super old show — The Wire. I didn’t watch it when it was popular years ago, but heard so many people reference it that I just had to try it. I got stuck for like a week looking at every episode. Found myself starting all my sentences with, “Y’know, on The Wire, they…” It was so addictive.
Those are all great! I think Freaks and Geeks, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friday Night Lights are all bingeworthy too!
Orange is the New Black is SO ADDICTING! It just stinks that once you get done you have to wait over a year for a new season! 🙂
