Coffee Date Anyone?

Coffee Date posts are some of my favorite and most well received posts. If you are new here I got the idea from my friend, Lisa and it’s basically just what it would be like if we met up for a coffee date!

coffee date

If we were on a coffee date….

I would probably order a nonfat pumpkin spice latte because fall. I would ask you what you think of Starbucks new spicy fall drink.

I would probably want to sit by a window because I love to people watch. If the weather was nice we could sit outside. Gotta love breezy days and drinking hot coffee. Pure bliss.

I would tell you that I am so glad I am drinking coffee on a regular basis again. I feel like I get so much more accomplished. I would ask you what you do to get things accomplished daily. Is it coffee? Or are you more of a soda drinker? Sometimes I just want a hot chocolate!

I would tell you that on Thursday I will be 20 weeks pregnant, aka half way cooked! That’s crazy! How has it already been 20 weeks!? I could swear its been more like 10.

I would ask you if you have gotten your flu shot yet? I had to get one this year, but I swear even when I do I still get the flu! Last year and the year before I had the flu. Ugh. Also my arm is still kind of sore from my shot on Friday.

I would also ask you if you’ve seen any good movies lately? What did you see? We saw Snowden! It was INCREDIBLE! I highly recommend it! Although I warn you, your computer might scare you after.

I would want you to tell me what your favorite workouts are? I am always looking for new ones!

Do you see those guys in the corner laughing? What are they laughing about??

I would ask you if you’ve tried the pumpkin scone yet? It’s pretty dang good! Should we split one?

We would discuss fall TV and what shows we are giving a chance to and how much we are missing Scandal. I assume you watch Scandal cause it’s awesome! But I am really loving This Is Us, Notorious, and Designated Survivor. I have Pitch and The Good Place on my DVR to watch ASAP!

What kinds of things would you want to discuss if we were on a coffee date?

I love these virtual coffee dates. I feel like I know you a little better. I would want to talk about my upcoming travel plans to Venice and London, how much I’m loving the Tone It Up work outs and ask you for blogging advice! Great post 🙂

Thank you for the movie recommendation and no I haven’t gotten the flu shot yet because needles terrify me. But I got the flu last year and it was one of the worst experiences of my life, so I may have. I’ve heard good things about Designated Survivor. HTGAWM is my ultimate fall tv show.

  4. Love these so cool! I would also be sipping a pumpkin spice latte because since Starbucks made the $3 deal from 2-5 I’ve already gotten 3. (Immense coffee lover) Congrats on 20 weeks! Also, I’m a dancer so I love a good Pilates warm up before class because it really gets my core ready. And tv shows, I just caught up on Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 Episode 1 on Hulu and omg! Love it.

  10. How fun! I’d share how much I love to gather together with friends, family and neighbors. I’d share my latest baking experiences but most importantly I’d be sipping a Caramel Macchiato.
    Cheers to fall!

Your coffee date sounds perfect! I now want a PSL and a pumpkin scone. Yum. I would want to talk about books – I have several queued up on my Kindle. I’ve heard good things about Jacqueline Woodson’s Another Brooklyn. I’m currently reading Three Shallow Graves and it’s really good so far. I’d also talk about knitting. I’m in Michigan and the days are getting cooler and shorter so it’s time to think about knitting a hat or mittens. Yikes! Talking TV is always good. I’m addicted to Acorn TV right now. It’s a channel that is all British shows. Lots of good mystery/crime shows. Just watched The Brokenwood Mysteries. Takes place in New Zealand, a place I’ve always wanted to go. Enjoy your coffee and your day!

  15. I would mock your drinking pumpkin spice, in a gentle type of way, as I myself am not a pumpkin spice lover. I would discuss my upcoming trip to London, and gab excitedly about fall decorations!

  18. Congratulations on making it to 20 weeks! I am at 27 weeks and am so ready to meet the little. I’m sure you feel the same! I teach a Full Barre class at my local YMCA and I love it! Not only is it so great to teach but it really kind to my every growing body. I have had a lot of pain with this pregnancy and that workout is really wonderful! Loved this post, thanks for sharing!

  23. Girl, I am with you on the coffee-productivity. I am about to brew my second pot of the day. It is a 2 job (7 hour total so not to crazy), 2 class day over here. I need all the coffee I can get! I cannot wait for more Scandal! I saw part of an episode of This Is Us last night and I cannot wait to start watching that as well. It is so cute! I am also a big fan of Quantico (it’s like a mix of Criminal Minds and How to Get Away with Murder) and all the Super Hero shows.

I love these posts! I can’t believe you are already 20 weeks! Time is flying by! The Good Place is good but it’s definitely not what I was thinking it was going to be about. I am a HUGE Kristin Bell fan. This Is Us is a super great show! Brad totally called the ending of the show. I had no idea. Hope you have a great week!
