I love to see what other people do in the mornings and how they get their days started. I have gotten a question about what I do in the mornings in regard to work, Liam, etc so today I am sharing our current morning routine.
Current Morning Routine
Once I am up I wash my face, brush my teeth, and get dressed. 99% of the time I am in workout clothes. I am usually up a good 90 minutes before Liam and I try to use this time to my advantage. First things first: coffee! I went to Target recently (OK when am I not at Target?) and I grabbed a few boxes of the Laughing Man® Coffee: the Colombia Huila and the Ethiopia Sidama single origin varieties. I like to try something new every now and then, and this fit the bill. Fun fact for all you Greatest Showman fans — Laughing Man® Coffee was co-founded by Hugh Jackman after an inspiring visit to Ethiopia where he met a young coffee farmer named Dukale. Inspired by Dukale’s optimism and determination, Hugh was committed to improving the lives of coffee farmers by sharing their Fair Trade Certified™ coffees with the world. So, I mean how can you not buy it? One thing I love is that every time you enjoy a cup of Laughing Man® Coffee, you make a positive impact, because a portion of the proceeds from your purchase goes right back into the communities that grow the coffee beans. All four varieties of Laughing Man® Coffee are Fair Trade Certified™, and their K-Cup® pods in the new packaging are recyclable. Plus, they’re all available at Target and on Target.com. I am a big online shopper so I am glad to know I can get this coffee online in a pinch and have it at my door in a few days.
Once I make my coffee and oatmeal, I usually enjoy them while checking my email, promoting that day’s blog post, and possibly watching a show from the night before that I have on our DVR.
I try to fold laundry if there’s some in the dryer from the night before, and prep Liam’s breakfast and lunch for the day so it’s easy and done. I also clean up the kitchen a bit from my breakfast while sipping on my Laughing Man® Coffee. YUM! It’s amazing that one simple decision in the morning can start my day off right. I am drinking delicious coffee that is good for my taste buds and good for the world.
Liam is up at 7 and it’s go go go from there. We usually read a few books, I get him dressed, then he has breakfast. After breakfast I put the rest of my coffee in a to-go mug and we head out on our walk. I love that I can easily make this coffee at home to take on our walks. It’s starting to feel a lot nicer outside in the mornings too! We meet up with our friends, walk, and hit the park!
Once we are home, we play inside or out back with the water table till lunch time.
You might be asking when I work? Well, I do have help a few days a week in the late mornings but this is after our walk so our mornings are almost always the same! I also work during nap times, and once Andrew is home from work, and after Liam is asleep!
What is your current morning routine like?
You have such an efficient morning routine – I guess a cup of coffee really fixes things 😉 Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I love reading about other people’s morning routines! I’m currently on the treadmill (part of my morning routine- ha!). I’ll look for that coffee!
This is how I picture my morning routine to be someday! I currently get up, get ready for work, and get an iced coffee as soon as I get to work. From there, I work until about 4 PM, then come home and work on my blog and blog stuff for the rest of the night. I’ll have to look for this coffee, though, and start making it at home!

Nothing like a very good coffee to start the day off right
Thank you for giving me one more reason to admire Hugh Jackman! LOL! My morning routine is my favorite time of day. Thanks for sharing yours!
Coffee is also a must for my morning routine! and I love my K-cups. I haven’t tried the laughing man coffee but on my next trip I will definitely pick some up!
Coffee is a must for me in the mornings! I think having a routine in the morning helps with my productivity for the rest of the day.
Such a cute mug! I can’t imagine a day that doesn’t start with coffee!

My mornings are a bit different. I’m up a lot during the night with baby so I slept in as much as I can in the morning with her, then we get up and start our day. I am actually looking forward to school starting so we can have a bit of structure and routine again!
Sounds like a great routine!! Especially the coffee 😉
I miss having a morning routine. I am currently without a home and my kids are staying with their Dads while my pug is with my sons at my ex husbands house. It’s messing up my work mojo not having a routine, maybe I’ll find some routine here while I am in between places.
Fun read! That coffee sounds delicious. I also love having fair trade coffee and supporting a great cause. I love that proceeds go back to the coffee farmers and that the k cups are recyclable
My morning routine is pretty….well…routine. Take vitamins, drink a glass of milk or water and then start working on the computer!
I love reading about other people’s routines! That sounds like amazing coffee too. Yum yum.
Oh, I’ve heard of this coffee. I love that it helps the world, as you said. 🙂 Fun post – thanks for sharing!
Love hearing the backstory on Laughing Man. Not gonna lie, I really do want to buy it now because of good ol’ Hugh!
I mean right?
I desperately need to get myself into a morning routine. You’re so productive!
Every morning has to have coffee, it’s a right of passage for us moms! I love your morning routine. I try to have one and it works for a bit, but then everything goes back to chaos!
Ahhhh my morning routine is a mess right now! One of the main reasons I’m excited for my daughter to go back to school! All of our lives, and mornings will once again have structure!
Nice Work! The post was extremely useful. I will in all probability offer this post. great wishes!!
I always love reading about other’s routines. Since we are still adjusting to life with a newborn, we don’t have a set routine yet but I can’t wait until we do. The one thing for sure is that my days always start with coffee. Thanks for sharing this, Neely!
I like you love coffee, to be able to have enough coffee, I do make my own as a cup of coffee out there is just too expensive for someone like me who need more than 1 cup.
Your routine sounds alot like mine, except i do water, then coffee. But I try to wake up before my son cause lord knows which way the day goes after his fit hit the ground. LOL
