Currently January

January is over half done which is insane to me. We are less than a month from my due date which is even crazier. I love seeing what people are currently loving, so I wanted to share the currently January things I am loving, liking, or obsessing over!

Currently January

Eating: String cheese, Kashi cereal, 100 calorie kettle corn packets, and fruit. Seriously those are the only things I tend to want these days. I guess it could be worse considering it isn’t brownies and cinnamon rolls.

Drinking: Water all damn day. I am so thirsty all the time! I am still having coffee, but only one a day as instructed by my doctor. I’m also having smoothies. I love a good green smoothie!

Listening To: Podcasts of course. You can find my favorites here and here. Sports radio because I love it so hard. Also really loving Old Dominion and Lumineers but that’s not new.

Watching: Football playoffs, The Bachelor, Nashville on CMT, and random reruns of stuff like The OC, 90210- original recipe, and Teen Mom.

Reading:Twelve Hours’ Sleep by Twelve Weeks Old, Baby Led Weaning, and other baby related books. I swear I feel like I’m cramming for an exam.

Wish-Listing: Pre-pregnancy sized clothes from Lululemon. I have a gift card I got for Christmas and I swore up and down I would not buy one thing until I could buy it in my pre-pregnancy size. I also really want a new handbag which I need like I need a hole in my head.

Thinking About: The fact that theoretically this baby could come at any time. I am 36 weeks (tomorrow) and he is well over 6 lbs. So I know he could really come at any time. We are ready for him though. I am also thinking about the lack of sleep that’s about to happen to me. Here’s to hoping I birth a great sleeper!

Would love to know some things currently going on with you??

Don’t cram too hard for that “exam”! It’s totally a “learn-as-you-go” thing no matter how many books you read and such a fun adventure. Hoping for a good sleeper, a healthy delivery and great start to the new year for you!

  18. Water, coffee, and smoothies are my life right now. That’s usually what I have to start off my day and then I go into solid meals. I have a delicious peanut butter and jelly smoothie recipe on my blog right now. I know it sounds crazy but it’s so delicious.

  23. Eeeek, good luck welcoming your little cherub into the world! I remember reading so so many books before my daughter arrived (she’s three now) – I loved feeling like I knew what to expect. Enjoy the last bit of your time before you go into full on mummy mode – make sure you pamper yourself and be a little selfish!

Water, water, water every day is me also! I’m trying to cut down my caffeine intake, which was normally a couple cups of coffee or tea. I definitely feel better, but this morning I was definitely struggling!

The last few days of a pregnancy are so surreal. my best friend just had her daughter and we were SO on edge, thinking she would come at any moment. It will literally come when you least expect it but it is so worth it.

  32. Currently craving? A big fat, greasy, bacon cheeseburger, and a tall glass of root beer float to wash it down. Oh my goodness. I’ve been trying to think healthy eating and here comes this tempting thought of greasy and sugary food. Anyway, I wish you a safe delivery and enjoy motherhood!
