It’s winter, it’s cold, and honestly I have no desire to do a full face of makeup every single day. I mean most of the time I work from home, have one or two coffee meetings out, go to the gym, run a few errands, and come home and do more work. However, I do like to have SOME makeup on my face when I leave the house. This may seem like a lot but usually it takes me 5-7 minutes tops. I love this easy winter makeup routine because it’s full coverage but it doesn’t look like I am wearing much makeup. It just gives my face a little glow and coverage without being too much.
I start off with the Anastasia Brow Wiz, which I can not live without! I just fill in my brows a bit. Most of the time I put some clear brow gel over them after.
I then spritz my face with the Smashbox Primer Water. This stuff is great. I also sometimes spritz my face again midday if I need a little boost. I actually keep a sample size of this in my makeup bag.
I then use the It Cosmetics CC Cream, which lately has been my go-to foundation. I love it because like it says “your skin but better.” It is not cakey, it’s not too thick, it’s just enough coverage.
Then I put some concealer on. I alternate between the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind and the NARS Concealer. This I put under my eyes, and any trouble spots, which lately have been A LOT of trouble spots.
I recently picked up the POREfessional Powder from Benefit and I love it! It’s exactly what I was needing in a powder. It has great shine control and really sets everything together.
I put a little bit of blush on and I use the NARS Orgasm/Laguna Blush Bronzer Duo. This is such a fantastic product. Worth the money for sure. I use a little of the Orgasm Blush and the the Laguna Blush Bronzer on my t-zone and a little on my cheeks.
I then use my CoverGirl Super Sizer mascara and just put a little mascara on. Especially if I’ll be going to the gym.
I absolutely love Orgasm blush from NARS, I’ll have to look into that bronzer to go with it. In the winter I have to have the dark, prominent lips…i’s necessary for me to leave the house happy 😉
I bought that Smashbox Primer Water but haven’t yet had a chance to try it out yet. I’m also like you, I keep my makeup minimal, mostly because I wake up so late in the morning!! I usually just do my eyebrows and BB cream and then do all the blush and stuff when I get to work.
I don’t wear a lot of makeup in the winter either. When I do I use mascara and powder for my face. I really need to start using a lip mask and will look for the Bite Beauty Agrave lip mask.
This looks like a great routine!! What does the prime water do? Is the CC cream enough coverage for you? I have some trouble spots and uneven pigmentation so I use a thin layer of foundation, but I’m wondering if CC would be enough for me.
So you do your brows BEFORE your face? Interesting. I seem to get foundation etc in my brows so I clean them off and fill them in after putting on my face makeup. Is there a reason you do it first? Am I missing something?

I love these!! I just discovered the BITE Lip Mask and it has transformed my lips this winter. I also don’t go a day without using my Love & Light hand cream from Lush, a winter favorite of mine! Love this post!
Absolutely loved your post! I love using makeup, I am a beginner when it comes to using a highlighter, bronzer, primer etc. Also, due to the availability of so many brands, it gets very confusing. This article is really helpful, good job !

I love the BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask. It is a lip saver.
I need to try that brow wiz! I use Anastasia brow gel right now, but I feel like I over do it sometimes, a pencil like that might be a great option!

I’ve never heard of that Smashbox Primer Water but I think I might check it out! I do however LOVE the Age Rewind concealer- it’s my favorite by far!
