With Christmas this week and Hanukkah in full swing I wanted to share a few of my favorite Holiday Traditions with you guys.

1. Red Cups on November 1st

2. Getting a new personalized Ornament each year for our tree…I did this growing up too

3. Looking at lights in Highland Park and on Deloache in Dallas and seeing my favorite bears while drinking my favorite 7-11 Hot Cocoa(the best). This will be Andrew and my third year of doing this together. I have done this with family as long as I can remember. Literally I believe since birth.

4. Rewatching our favorite movies which include about 100 viewings of Home Alone 1 and 2, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th St., The Holiday, Love Actually, The Family Man, The Family Stone…so many!!

7. Having Beef Tenderloin and Twice Baked potatoes which is my absolute favorite meal!!!

8. Seeing everyones faces when they open their presents 🙂

Ok, I LOVE YOUR FAMILY’S TRADITIONS. And thank you for mentioning “The Family Stone.” It’s a tear jerker but I have to watch it every Christmas along with both Home Alones 🙂 And we just started the Christmas jammies this year. So excited for that tradition to begin. Loved this!

  2. Your traditions look like so much fun! I love your matching PJ’s. I may need to start that one someday! And the ornaments is one that I did growing up, too. I hope to continue it once I get married.

We share many of your beloved traditions! Love Actually and Home Alone are two of my favs. 🙂 I have to admit I have thrown on my flannel PJ’s beginning in Nov. despite living in NC where it’s not nearly as cold as our home in OH. Beautiful family Christmas card, so romantic and full of love! I forgot how much I loved Home Alone and can’t wait to watch it with my little ones this week! We enjoy decorating the tree, making and decorating Christmas cookies and fudge together, and of course seeing Christmas lights around town! Merry Christmas!

Awww, I love this! We always bake and decorate sugar cookies on Christmas eve. The kiddos also get to open one gift on Christmas Eve each year, which is always PJs with packs of hot cocoa, bag of popcorn, and a Christmas movie. So of course our evening is filled with movies! =)

Aww! I love your traditions – and that ornament is too cute! We always go out to breakfast on Christmas Eve for Mikey’s birthday before starting the madness. I’d say that’s our oldest tradition.

I LOVE your holiday card! Such a cute idea “Married & Bright”! I wish I had thought of this for our Christmas cards for our first Christmas as Mr. & Mrs.! I agree with the Red Cups – one of my favorite signs that the Holiday’s are here.
My absolute favorite Christmas tradition from my husband’s family is the Christmas Eve Seven Fishes dinner. It is filled with great food, wine, and family – my three favorite things 🙂
    Merry Christmas!!

  23. We have a few similar traditions; coffee, movies, and look at the Christmas lights throughout the city. We would also make the best snacks like loaded nachos.
