Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends!

I hope everyone had a great week. We are currently in Houston visiting Andrews family which is nice since we haven’t seen them in a few months. Sorry I’ve been so absent. With being at Alt Summit, catching up on work and life in general I’ve just had a crazy week! But I’m back!

I figured I would share a few of my Friday Favorites with you 🙂

Friday Favorites

1. Houston: Obviously this is a favorite because we love going to Houston to see Andrews family. We always go to a few of our favorite restaurants and shop at our favorite places! In general I am looking forward to relaxing with coffee and reading tons.

2. Still Alice: I recently watched Still Alice with Julianne Moore and holy lord that woman an act. I am telling you right now to see this movie. If you know anyone who has suffered from alzheimer’s it is a very eye opening movie about what a woman who is very young goes through when she starts to lose her memory. Great cast, great performances a must see.

3. Book Club: I hosted our first book club of the year this week and we had an absolute blast. Loved spending time with these girls chatting, have wine, talking about books and life and everything in between.

Everyone brought something and I supplied wine and cookies! Great time with great girls.

4. Parenthood Finale: OK I’m still not ready to talk about it. All the tears.

5. Escaping for lunch: A few times this week I escaped my office for lunch instead of eating at home. This is not normal for me but the weather was amazing. One day I met up with Michele at Eatzi’s for sandwiches and cookies. The weather was gorgeous but I quickly realized a long sleeve shirt was a mistake. It felt like 80 out on Tuesday and yeah no long sleeved shirts in 80 degree weather.

Tell me about your week?

Have fun in Houston! I’m in a book club too and it is so much fun to get together with other ladies to talk about books. I feel like I should have been in a book club for years instead of just recently joining one!

Also – I was on the fence about seeing Still Alice and you’ve just convinced me!

I’m sad that Parenthood is over, it was one of the best quality shows out there. BTW Joel is in American Sniper if you need a fix of him 🙂

Awesome! I hope you have a great time seeing his parents. Hanging out with family is always fun. I want to go to a blog conference, I think that’d be awesome. Have a good weekend!

  7. I really want to see Still Alice. Alzheimer’s runs in my family and I’m curious to see Julianne Moore’s portrayal.
