Friday Favorites

It’s Friday and that means it’s time for Friday Favorites! I hope everyone has had a good week. The weather in Dallas has been weird, cold then warm….who knows. I could also use about 3 days to catch up on sleep but it’s Friday!

Friday Favorites

1. Date Nights: We do a once a month date night where we alternate who plans the date and this month is my turn! I don’t want to say what the date is because it’s a surprise for Mr. Andrew. We try to get out more than once a month but it’s fun to know that each month one of us plans something fun and special.

2. What Alice Forgot: This is the book for my February book club and so far I am loving this! Great great book and you get sucked in immediately.

3. Staying Organized: So once again I am going to brag on the Simplified planner which I love. Emily Ley has a knack for putting an amazing planner together and I am so proud of how diligently I have been using mine. Also she just had super adorable twins!

4. The Bachelor: Guys I really didn’t want to watch. I tried to stay away but it sucked me in and I blame Andrew. Or rather I blame Andrews brother. When we were in Houston he told us how he and his girlfriend were watching this season so Andrew thought we should check it out and now we are hooked! Such a train wreck!

5. Body Pump: I went to two body pump classes this week and I forgot how much I love them. It is such a great full body workout and really has you feeling like jello at the end. In a good way of course. If you have a gym near you that has body pump I suggest you give it a try! It takes a few classes to catch on but it’s so fun and such a great way to burn calories!

Love the planner! I’ve never really used a fancy one, but I think once I graduate and start working, I’m going to invest in one.

I am trying so hard to stay away from The Bachelor this season. I considered the Simplified planner but went with the Day Designer by Whitney English. I wish there was one that combined what I like about both of them!

  5. we so need more date nights. Our sitters list has dwindled with moves and graduations so it makes it hard to keep going out!

Date nights are the best, even if they aren’t extravagant. Just getting that “be ready at 7pm” or whatever text is fun. Love it! =)

I am a fan of most of the Les Mills classes and Body Pump is one of my favorites! Like LaShawn. I too am guilty of getting a Whitney English Day Designer and love it.

I just looked up “What Alice Forgot” on Goodreads, and it sounds so interesting! It’s definitely going on my must-read list.

Also, don’t feel too bad about the Bachelor thing. It happens to the best of us. (It’s funny; I even wrote a blog post about it this week!)

I love the idea of alternating date days! My husband & I have been ending up a the movies & labeling it ‘date night’ which is kind of lame, so I like the idea of alternating back and forth to make it more interesting!!! I am not really a bachelor girl….big fan of all the housewives though!!!!

OMGEEE – I’m glad I’m not the only one who still watches the Bachelor – I love watching is crash and burn. Prince Farming has no lip and is the worst bachelor ever – so boring! But glad there are crazy girls to entertain me!!! I think he is even worse than Juan Pablo! Did you read Reality Steve to see who he picks?!?! I’m so bad – I look at it every year – ha!

  14. UGH THE BACHELOR. Can we just talk about that first psycho Ashley girl who was arguably a serial killer? Or maybe the second Ashley girl who’s arguably a real-life princess and still a serial killer? BETTER YET, Kelsey, who could’ve been everyone’s guidance counselor if it wasn’t for her own serial killer-like tendencies.
    This season is just awkward.

  17. I love the idea of a PLANNED monthly date night because we always say we are going to do something this weekend and never do but I guess if one of us planned we would have to commit, great idea thanks for sharing

  18. I love Body Pump, but I never make it to the gym! I’m totally getting ready to buy their at home version – Les Mils Pump. SOLD 🙂

The last few seasons of the Bachelor I have tried to stay away, but there is something about a rich hot sweet farmer that gets me sucked in…. I told my husband perhaps he could have a career change…. we’ll see if he was listening or taking a hint lol!

AND I freaking love this idea of date night! I’m going to have to give it a test run!

Great Post! I keep trying to get my man to comment to having a date night once a month but it never happens. I don’t think he understands how important it can be, maybe he will give into it soon.
