There are a few things I want to accomplish before the end of Summer. Which if you live in Dallas feels like today. Hello 78 degree weather, where did you come from and won’t you stay a while?
I have a 101 in 1001 list and I want to knock a few of those things off before Summer is over. So here are my rest of Summer goals or even things I want done before the wedding.
1. I would love to learn how to use our grill: Sounds easy enough right? Well Andrew is the grill master but if I want a grilled chicken breast I’d like to learn how that crazy thing works!
2. Buy a new Macbook Pro: I have had my macbook for nearly 6 years and let me tell you they do not make white macbooks anymore. This one is still going but it has it’s days where I am convinced it will die on me. I need a new one stat!
3. Buy a new luggage set: I have a TON of travel coming up: Austin next week, Philly in Sept, Honeymoon in Oct, DC/NYC in November and SLC in January. This girl needs her some non janky luggage!
4. Update my music on iTunes and my iPhone: Guys I have not added new music in over a year. I am so sick of listening to the same stuff. My goal before I leave for Philly is all new or at least updated music so I am not constantly skipping songs.
5. Start a New blog series: Any requests here? I have a ton of ideas I just need to get them together.
6. I would say plan a date night with Andrew which is on the list but we have actually been much better about having non netflix date nights. We have a really fun date planned for this weekend and I would just like to have more of those.
7. I would like to find or start a book club in Dallas. I know I have a few friends here who are interested so I am hoping we can get it together.
8. Take my mom for a Pedicure, take my dad to breakfast. These are activities we love doing together so I would like to do both of these before our wedding and really spend good quality time with both.
9. I made a front door wreath right after we moved in here nearly 10 months ago and it’s still going strong-ish. OK truth be told the thing is hanging on by a thread. I need to make a new one and I want to have it done before we get married. Ideally with our last name initial on it.
10. Invest in a very special handbag. As if I do not have enough purses. But I mean a very very special one that has been on my mind for years. I have one in mind. Let’s see if that can happen.

Can’t wait to see about the potential handbag! And I hear you on the MAC. I’ve had mine for about 7 years and I swear it’s on it’s last leg – but how awesome is it that they last that long at all!?
I don’t know how to use our grill either. My husband does all of that. Some day I will invest in a Mac. If I start saving now maybe I’ll be able to buy one in 5-6 years (hopefully my current laptop can last that long). Good luck with all of these! Have fun on all your travels!
When my dad bought me a grill, he told me that only my boyfriend could use it–now he’s my husband, which is good. My dad thinks that it’s too dangerous for me to use the propane. But, learning how to use it would probably be good!
I don’t know how to use our grill either!! I honestly am not sure I want to though!! My husband makes all the chicken. You are still hanging onto the white one!!! That’s great. My mac died a slow death over the last few months after 5 years and I just got a macbook air. It’s so nice to have a fully functional laptop again.
i can second so many of these things! aj is the grill master, and while i think i know how to grill, it just seems like a lot of work…haha
what bag do you have in mind? i’ve had my eye on a long champ tote for years (like a decade) and I might finally invest this fall as a bday present!
These are some really awesome goals, and this post inspired me to jot down a few goals of my own. I need to start doing that more often. I’ve been wanting to invest in a new laptop. I’ve never had a Mac before, but I’ve used and loved them, and I think it would be a great investment for blogging purposes. I’ve also been on the hunt for a book club. If I was in Dallas, I would totally join yours!
Aren’t MacBooks the best? I had my black one for six years before I bought my current Pro, and my black one still works (it needs a new battery, and I’m too cheap to buy another battery and charger for computer that is 8 years old.) I know that they are an investment, but it is so nice to not have to buy a computer every two years!
I love my Mac Book! It is such a good computer for me 🙂 I also want to treat my mom and dad to something fun. I owe my parents so much!!!

Funny you speak of grills. I saw a few AMAZING ones at Walmart this weekend and I was like “OMG I need a backyard pronto for this!” When you learn how to use it, show us!!! Lol. xoxo, Ariel

Great list of goals. It’s cooled down this week in Southern California this week as well and I’m loving it. I know it won’t last though.
I’m the same way with music! I’m looking to clean out all the songs from forever ago that I barely listen to before the end of summer
