Pool and Beach Bag Essentials

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Hawaiian Tropic®. The opinions and texts are all mine.

Hi friends! I hope everyone is having a fun week. Nothing exciting going on here this weekend! Although I do plan on spending some time at our neighborhood pool if I can! It’s honestly too hot to do much else. I guess it’s one of the bonus’ of the summer months. Pool time! We have a bunch of pools in our subdivision, which is a great part of living here. Growing up in the south, I have spent a good majority of my life at pools and beaches. Because of it I have discovered what pool and beach bag essentials you REALLY need.

First you need a good pool bag. I personally prefer either canvas totes or water repellent gym bags. This one I have is my fav and went with me all over the Bahamas earlier this year.

Next you need a GOOD sunscreen. Lately I have been using the Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen and I am a huge fan. For one, the stuff smells AMAZING. I want perfume made out of it. It really does delight your senses and take you back to the beach even if you’re at the local pool. It also happens to be water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, which is great for your girl when I need to cool off. Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen has a unique breathable formula that feels as if it is barely on, which I love. It doesn’t feel heavy at all which can be the worst. The light soft texture feels weightless on your skin while hydrating silk ribbons provide 12 hours of “moisturization”, so your skin feels silky soft while being safely UVA/UVB protected. Being protected really is of utmost importance.

To go along with the protection of your skin you need to protect your eyes. I love these sunglasses. A hat really comes in handy too! Adds an extra level of protection to your head and face.

Then you need some entertainment. I love my iPad mini which I take almost everywhere. It has all my books, audio books, podcasts, music, and magazines on it. That and my trusty headphones! Having a good book, like The Nest, which was on my books to read this summer list is a given.

I always make sure I have enough water, as well as mints. I’m addicted to mints!

I round all of that out with a cute cover-up like this one. I love this cover-up because it looks like something you would find at a more expensive store. Nope less than $20 Win!

What are your pool and beach bag essentials?

The kids are getting bigger and I think next year is my year to finally be able to read a book poolside while they swim. I almost always forget to bring water to the pool. Thanks for the post.
