I wanted to take some time today and share my Recent Reads with you. I always love knowing what other bloggers are reading and who knows maybe you’ll find a new book to love.
It started during the flight to Hawaii. I always go through phases where I read several books in a row then I read none for a month or so and repeat.
During the flight to Hawaii I started After I Do, by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I could not stop reading it. I loved how the beginning was told through flashbacks of the couples relationship and then you delve into them deciding after a few years of marriage to take a one year break and not talk to each other. It probably wasn’t a great honeymoon decision book but I loved it just the same.
After that I read The Antelope in the Living Room. It was hysterical and great for some laughs. It was a fantastic beach read and I am for sure reading Sparkly Green Earrings next.
I also read Eleanor and Park which was such a beautiful story and so heartbreaking at times. There are points where I felt so nostalgic and parts where I truly wanted to put the book down and cry. I absolutely loved this book though. I highly recommend reading it.
My last recent read was I’m not that kind of girl by Lena Dunham. I could not get into it. I wanted to like it but I just found it really odd and after a few chapters I stopped reading. Andrew actually asked me during our honeymoon if I always finish books. I told him I try but sometimes I just can’t. This was a situation where I could not finish it. I have read mixed things from friends and reviewers so I know I am not alone on this.

The Beginning of Everything
The Brand Within
Sparkly Green Earrings
I plan to knock out at least one or two of these are our trip later this week. Flight to DC, bus ride from DC-NYC and flight home from NYC gives me lots of reading time.
I wanted to know more about this “Drinking and Tweeting” book too! I haven’t read a book for pleasure in a few months, but I hope to start a new one soon!
Ah so many good books! I read Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid and I loooooved it! I’m so sad to hear about Lena Dunham’s book, but that seems to be the general consensus from people that have read it. My most recent read was Wild by Cheryl Stayed, and it was so good! It’s going to be a movie, which will be super cool.
I just read Drinking and Tweeting, highly recommend! I have to give you props for all of that reading time. I wish I could find time for that. It is one of the big things I miss after having a baby.
Okay, what is Drinking and Tweeting? That sounds amazing! ha!
I loved Eleanor and Park! Anything by Rainbow Rowell has been fantastic.
I have Eleanor and Park I just haven’t started reading it yet. I’ve heard it’s great. Perhaps I’ll have to read that one next!

Drinking and tweeting was SO GOOD! I laughed so hard reading it. I would recommend The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay.
