Summer Wellness Tips

Stay Hydrated: This is probably the hardest for me. I feel like I drink a TON of water but I do love my coffee. A few things that help stay hydrated: Liquid IV is a great option! They have tons of flavors and Andrew swears by them. Our pantry is full stocked always. If you use my code, NEELYKINS you get 20% off! We also LOVE the Hi-Lyte capsules. These are just little electrolyte capsules you take a few times a day.

Get Outside When You Can: Even though it’s 100+ in Dallas nearly every day I do try to get out some. Usually that’s a walk either with my kids or by myself. I love a good solo summer walk. Sweating it out really makes me feel great. I also love just playing with my kids outside as much as we can.

Slather on the SPF: SO IMPORTANT! Make sure you are putting on sunscreen. Your body, face, hands, lips, ears etc. Also make sure you are reapplying as much as possible. My favorite SPF products are Supergoop and I have them all listed here.

Switch out for some clean beauty: 3 Summers ago I really started to switch out my regular products for clean products. I would say I am 95% there. There are so many amazing clean beauty options and summer is a great time to try them out!

Have a less is more attitude: Less everything. Less stuff, less drama, less giving a shit. Trust me it’s good for you!

Switch to water workouts: Not all the time but it’s fun to swim, kayak etc. Wherever you live see what water activities make the most sense and do some of your workouts that way!

What are some summer wellness tips you’d add in here?

I track my water on an app and that has helped me to be aware of how much water I take in every day. We also like to go outside when we can and are at the pool often.

Summer is my favorite time of the year! Yes, it’s hot but I prefer hot to cold. Remembering to stay hydrating and have sunblock handy are both important.

Including SPF is such an important tip. You absolutely have to protect your skin. One burn can increase your chance of skin cancer.

I like to do water activities. That checks two things at once off the list too because it also gets you outside.

I’ve been basically drinking my weight lately. All I can think about is icy cold water. I also love infusing it with lemon and cucumber!
