It is the unofficial start to summer with Memorial Day weekend, and today I am sharing my list of items you need for surviving the summer. These beauty must haves are things that seriously keep me on my game all summer long! Bonus, you can get all of these things from the beauty section at Kroger!
Surviving The Summer Beauty Must Haves
First of all for makeup I do not do a lot during the summer months. OK lets be real, unless I’m getting dressed up I rarely wear a TON of makeup. But daily I will put on blush, mascara, brow stuff, concealer, and some lip balm. My current GO TO summer mascara is the CoverGirl so lashy! You guys. This stuff is amazing! CoverGirl also has an amazing blush right now that I am loving! The Trublend baked powder blush gives you such a great summer glow.
To protect my skin I have always loved the Neutrogena sun care line. The Neutrogena Ultrasheer face and body stick is my new favorite. This makes applying sunscreen so easy! Plus it’s small enough to throw in a makeup bag, purse, or beach bag. For this busy mom it really helps me out! After the pool or beach your skin will of course be dry. Okay maybe just mine. Well to combat that I use two things, on my face I use the Cereve Moisturizer and on my body I use the Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. Two products I repurchase over and over. I have no idea how long I have been using these but at least 5 years plus.
For my hair I don’t do a ton of crazy things. After my shower I spray the OGX Argon Oil in it and it really leaves it feeling super soft. To keep it out of my eyes I always put it up in a high pony tail and secure with the tried and true goody ouchless bobby pins.

I’ll have to look into that Face and Body Stick – I am still new to Florida and the constant need for sun protection. This might be a good item carry around in my purse for a quick fix.
I absolutely love Aveeno. My son was prescribed it for a skin complaint a couple of years ago and it worked wonders, we both use it now and the hand cream is a must have in my opinion.
My hair hair has been getting so dry lately. I wanna try the Argon Oil spray. Have you been using this for some time? I think I’m gonna give this a shot. Thanks for sharing this.
I love this idea, having a go to list of products is handy. I love the look of that mascara. I love stick sunscreens, so easy to use and bring with you for touch ups. Plus high spf is great
Ah sunscreen stick! I didn’t know they made it like a solid! The spray and liquid get everywhere and I always manage to get in my eyes and it burns soooo bad. I will check this out!
I love CeraVe! They have an eye cream that works so well for me (super sensitive eyes), and I have tried some of their other products as well. I haven’t tried argan oil before…I think I might need to try that!
My best summer beauty must have is a sunscreen. I think sunscreen is the most important beauty product that every girl must have. Without sunscreen cannot even think to step out of my home. My skin got burnt when I am not using the sunscreen.
I use the same argan oil for hair by OGX! It’s the best!

The argan oil is my FAVE! I also use a ton of Cerave products, legit has transformed my skin/
I swear by argan oil for my hair. Especially when it’s summer and the frizz gets out of control!

OMG yes on the bobby pins! I wasn’t a bobby pin wearing until recently but they are a life saver in the style department when it gets humid!
