I have done a few of these posts in the past but not for a long time. There are a lot of things in the world(food, movies, music etc) that everyone else likes and I just don’t get. Or I’ve tried them and just don’t get the fuss. Remember this is a light hearted fun post. Nothing that should be taken seriously or insulted by.
1. Chipotle: This is probably the biggest one. I am most likely one of the only people who doesn’t care for chipotle. I tried it in high school and then again with Andrew a few times. I have tried a few different bowls and it just wasn’t for me.
2. Game of Thrones: I have never seen an episode but I can tell you when it’s on TV because my entire Facebook newsfeed is discussing it. Im sure if Andrew had any desire to watch it I would try it but when you live with someone you kind of have to like most of the same shows. Otherwise you have the face I have when Andrew puts on Impractical Jokers.
3. Mind F*** movies: Andrew likes movies that mess with your mind. The one that ruined those for me was The Strangers. I saw it on a date about 7 years ago and it freaked me out beyond belief. Since then I have steered clear of movies that purposely mess with my mind. I do not get the appeal of being scared. When I was younger I loved scary movies but mostly the ones like Scream, I know what you did last summer etc that were not really scary. These new ones even the trailers freak me out!
4. Any TV show that involves a singing or dancing competition: I love reality TV do not get me wrong but good god I hate these shows. My mom loves Dancing with the stars so every now and then I will watch one but I do not find them entertaining.
5. High waisted ANYTHING: Unless they are high waisted yoga pants I do not get the appeal. This is how I know I am getting old. I see teenagers wearing high waisted shorts and crop tops and I think “who dressed you!?” Not my fav.
What about you? Are there things everyone else likes and you just don’t?
Totally agree with you on Chipotle. It’s too salty for me. I prefer Moe’s. I’m with you on singing competitions – I loved American Idol when I was younger, but now it’s a bit old and I’m glad next season is the last. But I danced for 12 years, so dancing shows are my favorite! I love So You Think You Can Dance and DWTS (although I will admit, it took me a while to come around to the latter).

I’m so with you on high wasted and crop tops! The worst!! And I’m not a huge Chipotle fan, either. I was expecting the most amazing thing ever and it just didn’t live up to the hype, in my opinion.
You and I have very similar dislikes! I hate Chilpolte with a passion, scary movies or any movie with violence or excessive noise like those superheroes movies. I also hate those type of mess with your mind movies. I also hate Chai-never understand that business !And hate Costco. My friends know better then to even ask or discuss it with me. I do love Dancing with The Stars and Rumor Willis is a amazing dancer, worth seeing. I also hate anything with absolutely the most disgust Kardashian or real housewives. This was fun !
I love chipotle peppers in adobe sauce – never eaten at the restaurant because my daughter says you have to go through a line like fast food – no thanks. I don’t do fast food.
I hate when I’m commenting on a blog and I accidentally comment in the Facebook area and all of a sudden all of my personal friends on FB are liking a comment I made on a blog. Really? Get rid of that crap! And I hate when the subscription box is already checked. Uncheck that thing! 🙂
I hate Dancing with the Stars. I can’t think of one reality show I like. Just give me The Good Wife and I’m happy.

I don’t mind GoT, but I’m definitely not obsessed with it like it seems most people are.
And I absolutely cannot get on board with high waisted pants. They make even skinny people look like they have a paunch, and they are guaranteed to give you a wedgie. I wish they’d go back to the 1980s where I thought I left them! 🙂
I don’t love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, which definitely makes me the odd person out come fall. I also don’t like crop tops, which seem to be making a come back along with those high wasted pants. :/

*Popcorn (of all types!)

I used to eat Chipotle a lot when we lived in the middle of the midwest, when authentic TexMex was impossible to find. Since we’ve moved back to San Antonio, I haven’t eaten it once. 🙂
