Tools To Help You Get In Shape

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Withings, part of Nokia. All opinions are 100% mine.

Most of us have goals, be it monthly or yearly, to get in better shape. I don’t know if I have ever come across someone who didn’t have that as a goal. It’s always a goal of mine. Being in better shape doesn’t necessarily mean losing weight. For some it may mean toning up, reducing body fat, and generally feeling better about themselves. To do this, it is helpful to have certain tools. Today I am sharing two of my new favorite tools! I know that with having a baby in February these will come in handy as I try to get back to my pre baby self.

Tools To Help You Get In Shape

I have always loved the idea of an activity tracking watch. I’ve tried a few and never found one that I just really loved. Recently I’ve been using Withings Steel watch, and I am loving it. Even while pregnant, it has been so great for tracking my steps, my workouts, my sleep etc.

Some of the watch’s features include:

  • 316L stainless steel case, chrome hands and double-domed glass
  • Tracks steps, running, distance & calories burned
  • Swim tracking (water resistant up to 5ATM)
  • No charging: Up to 8-month battery life
  • Sleep monitoring & silent vibrating alarm
  • Syncs with the Health Mate app (iOS & Android)

What’s great is that unlike other trackers, you don’t have to tell it what you are doing. PLUS, you can get it wet! How amazing is that!? I love seeing how I’m sleeping because I never feel like I get enough rest. I also love seeing how my activity is during the day. It tells me that there are certain times I need to be more active, etc.

(This is what the watch looks like right out of the box)

For the man or woman with a passion for gadgets and desire to stay healthy. Steel is a high-tech, low-fuss stainless steel watch that’s perfect for those looking to dive into activity tracking without sacrificing style.

Another tool that’s going to be VERY helpful post baby is the Body Cardio Scale. You guys, this is not your average scale. It’s smarter than the average scale. It logs your weight, body fat, water, and muscle and bone mass. This is really a scale that gets the job done. When you are just weighing yourself it can be discouraging because you may not see the number move. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so having a scale that is truly telling you what is happening with your body will not only make you feel better but it will tell you exactly what’s happening. Just because the number isn’t moving doesn’t mean you aren’t getting in better shape. Remember, your health is more important than a number!

Some key features include:

  • Provides Heart Rate and unique insights into arterial health with Pulse Wave Velocity assessments
  • Track weight, BMI, total body fat and water percentage plus muscle and bone mass
  • Set a weight goal and manage your daily calorie budget with integrated nutrition tracking
  • Automatic profile recognition and recording of measurements for up to 8 different people
  • High-accuracy measurements via Position Control™ technology
  • Features a solid aluminum base, heat-tempered glass, and the ability to be accurate on any surface
  • Battery lasts up to one year and is rechargeable (comes with charging cord)
  • Syncs with the Health Mate app (iOS & Android)

I know for me, my health is one of my top goals in 2017. Having the proper tools to ensure your best health and healthiest lifestyle is key.

I really like that the watch looks more like a classic watch than the other sorts of ‘tracker’ bracelets people wear for fitness–I’m not a huge fan of the look of those athletic bands.

  2. I love the look of this watch! I have a fitbit but I don’t really wear it anymore but it wasn’t very cute!

I really like the look of the watch. I’m not big into the whole fitbit/apple watch thing. I prefer a classic look.

I have heard of watches that are similar to this one. I currently have a fitbit (just the regular one) but I want to get a new watch that does more. I may have to look into that one. Also I love that scale!!! 2017 is definitely a year that I want to become healthier.

That scale sounds pretty cool I think it would be beneficial to know all those other things about yourself so that it is not just focusing on your weight.

  10. Those are awesome tools! I’ve never seen an activity tracker like your watch before. Do you get all the info via your phone, since the watch is just an analog clock? And that scale sounds so cool!

I need one I can get wet, I am a disaster at running through water and splashing everywhere but only in the summer when it is hotter than you know where outside. This isn’t too bad on the eyes either.

  13. Wow! That watch looks so much better than the Fitbit’s. I’m not a fan of the look of the FItbit’s watch either, but I still wear mine. I’m surprised that they didn’t design it to look better or more aesthetically pleasing.

  15. This is SO much more stylish than a fitbit! I am always taking my fitbit off when dressing up but this would work for almost every occasion!

  17. This watch looks so beautiful!! I’ve always wanted a watch to keep track of how much I’m sleeping. I’m the same as you– I never feel like I get a good night’s sleep. & I used to be so much more motivated to stay in shape and workout when I had a scale. My roommate had one at my last apartment, and I just never thought about getting a new one once I moved. I’ll definitely have to check this one out!
