2019 Morning Routine

This post is sponsored by Align Probiotics. All opinions are my own.

I am a routine person through and through. My mornings typically look the same during the week. I love seeing what people’s morning/evening routines look like so today I am sharing my 2019 morning routine! If you don’t have a morning routine maybe this will give you some ideas!

2019 Morning Routine

Andrew’s alarm goes off around 5:15 during the week and while I don’t jump out of bed then I’m pretty much up. I spend about 30ish minutes watching the news in bed with him or scrolling through my phone. I feel like some mornings especially since I have been pregnant I have had a much harder time getting out of bed first thing.

Once I am up I wash my face, do my skincare routine, brush my teeth, throw my hair up, and get dressed-usually in workout clothes. Then I take my medicine and drink a HUGE glass of lemon water. I find that drinking a huge glass of water first thing really sets my body right for the day.  I also take pretty much all medicines in the morning (prenatal vitamins, Vitamin D, anti-nausea medicine, thyroid medicine, and a probiotic). For the last 4 years I have been taking Align every single day. Being super in tune to my health I know that certain supplements and vitamins really help my body. Taking a probiotic is so important for me and keeping my gut health in check. Align has a patented probiotic strain Bifidobacterium 35264™ that can’t be found in other probiotics, including store brands. You only need to take one a day, and I tend to keep mine in the original packing until I take it. For best results that’s what it says to do. Align helps promote and support a healthy digestive system*. Something that is so important but especially important to me during pregnancy. I have checked with my personal OB but always check with yours first! Align partnered with leading gastroenterologists, authorities in digestive health, to identify the best probiotic strain to help with occasional digestive upsets.* Basically you know it’s great! To get the most benefits from Align you want to take it every single day, not just when you feel like you need the balance.

After I take my medicine I sit with my breakfast and laptop at our island and do some work while I eat. Liam is usually up shortly after so I get him up and he has breakfast. Then we play for a bit in the playroom before it’s time to get dressed and ready for school.

Once I drop him off at school I head to either the gym or a barre class. I don’t have any coffee until after my workout since I can only have one a day. It’s my treat! I usually spend the rest of the morning working. I feel like my mornings fly by and before I know it, it’s time to go get Liam (the best part of my day).

What does a typical morning routine look like for you? Do you take a daily probiotic?

  2. Your Mornings sound so peaceful! My little usually wakes up before my alarm goes off and wakes me up, then spends an hour refusing to get dressed for school. I down a half a pot of coffee, run a brush through my hair, demand he finally gets shoes on, then we’re both out the door for school and work. I usually grab a multi-vitamin and a pop-tart on the way out the door. Mornings are always hectic at my house.

My morning starts with coffee and some ball tosses with the dog. Then we either go for a run, or I go to the gym to workout and take her for a walk after. Then it’s mostly work for me, with meal planning, laundry or straightening up the house breaks as I’m lucky to be able to work from home.

My morning on school days starts at 6 when I get up, brush my teeth (I have to do it first thing) and take my thyroid medicine. Then I take a shower, get dressed, and do my hair/makeup before getting the boys up at 6:30. Then it’s breakfast, getting them ready, backpacks packed, and off to school! In the fall, once they are both in full-time school, I want to add some yoga or another workout in when I get home.

  8. Morning routines are so important! Mine is a little different with summer and the kids being home now, but very similar to yours. I also take a probiotic every day — and so do my kids. I feel like it’s also helped their immune system too.

Align sounds like an excellent product in the morning. This morning, I was thinking I should take more vitamins because I got my period and also a cold. So, my immune system was compounded.

My mornings are a lot more hectic than yours sound. I always wish I could develop a morning routine. To help concur our morning antics I have developed more of an evening routine to get ready for the next day.

If I don’t follow my daily morning ritual, I feel all out of sorts the rest of my day. I have to have my hot water with lemon, light stretches/yoga flow, & affirmations before I go out. Thanks for sharing your tips! Will have to look into incorporating probiotics as well!
