As usual this will be my last post of the year. I always end with a post about my next years goals, review the previous years goal, and see what my word and focus for the next year will be. I am always so excited for a new year and can’t wait to see what 2024 holds. Let’s get into the goals.
In 2023 I wanted to…
- Read 100 books: I read 77 so far and I feel good about that!
- Take 1000 Peloton workouts: Definitely did this!
- Create a new 101 in 1001 list and cross 15 things of: Linked here and I have crossed off 9 and have several more in progress.
- Take a girls’ trip with friends: We did a girls lake trip in February!
- Take one solo vacation with JUST Andrew and one vacation as a family: Yes we took the kids to the beach and Andrew and I went to Park City and Antigua.
- Try 3 new workouts and find one to work into my weekly regimen: Didn’t do this but started running more.
- Walk outside as many days as allowed and hit at least 10K steps a day all year: Did this most of the year.
- Spend more time on Reels and Tiktok and try to grow both: Did this a lot too.
- Actually start my podcast: Yep you can find us here.
- Do something each month 1:1 with my kids or 2:1 with Andrew and I and each kid: Not as much as I wish but we did do it as much as we could.
- Make time once a month for Andrew and I to have a date even if it’s a lunch date: We had more dates this year than last but not as many as I’d want.
- Grow my income by 10%: It stayed about the same and thats ok!
- Work with 20 brands I haven’t ever worked with: yes and yes!
- Secure 5 long-term partnerships (3 months or more): I did a two this year!
In 2024 I want to…
- Read 80 books
- Monetize the podcast
- Grow my income more than 2023
- Work with 20 new brands
- Do something very special with each kid 4 times per year
- One vacation with just Andrew, one with all 4 of us
- Take a girls trip
- Secure 3 long-term brand partnerships
- Take 1000 Peloton workouts
- Try a new workout
- Cross 25 things off my 101 in 1001 list
Now for my word of the year. Last year my word of the year was content. I do feel like I spent more time content this year. But this next year I have to go back to a word I need to use more. That word is NO. Not in a mean way but I am terrible at saying no and then apologizing for saying no. I am not going to apologize for aligning my priorities this year. As women we do that WAY TOO MUCH! Not this year.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years and I will be back in this space January 2nd!
Wow, that’s an achievable goals for 2024. I think I have to set mine as well.
This is a cool yearly bucket list! Thank you for sharing. This is a great idea to implement.
It’s always nice to look back at our goals and to see what we have accomplished and how far we’ve come. Sometimes the day to day is mundane and so busy that we forget to give ourselves a pat in the back. Next year, I’d love to travel more. We only did one this year so I am looking forward to going somewhere different next year. One place I am looking into is Maine and the other is Japan.

I LOVE it! No is the most powerful word for mental health, and it’s one that we as women tend to underuse.
You did awesome on your goals overall! My reading goal has been 100 books for the past 5+ years and this is the first year I hit it, and in November! I need to work on my goals next week with the planner my husband bought me for Christmas.
Setting goals is always a good idea. One is more likely to achieve goals if they are defined. I like that you evaluated your 2023 goals and stated your progress.
Great recap of 2023! Here’s to a wonderful start to 2024 and new goals and accomplishments!
I enjoyed reading your goals from this year and am impressed. Your goals for 2024 are wonderful – especially doing something special with each of your children. I remember my parents doing this and the memories are so special.
These are great goals for 2024! I can’t wait to see you make all of them come true in the new year! Especially a fun girls trip! Thank you for sharing your year with us!
Great job on your goals! I wanted to make sure I worked out enough and I love my peloton workouts!
Wow, you read 77 books this year! I like the idea of a vacation only with a partner and a special time with each kid. Thank you for inspiration.
Whew! Girl, you have really done so well with having 77 books read in 2023! I haven’t even read a quarter of those. Let’s see what 2023 has in stock for us here.
I hope you manage to achieve your goals for 2024. Have a lovely Christmas and New Year.
