7 Items To Bring On A Beach Trip With Kids

We are heading to the beach with the kids for Memorial Day and this will be our 3rd beach trip with them. I feel like I am way more prepared for this trip than I have been in the past, in part to their ages. I wanted to share some items to bring on a beach trip with kids that I have found both useful and beyond necessary!

7 Items To Bring On A Beach Trip With Kids

Beach Blanket: Not anything crazy just something you can easily shake the sand off of! We have a great one super similar to this and also the Yeti blanket is a great option.

Wagon: This simple beach wagon is so great to haul all the beach things in. Or a tired toddler who doesn’t want to walk back.

GOOD sunscreen: For me, I use Supergoop sunscreens which are clean and they even make kids sunscreen. I like knowing that these don’t have any bad ingredients and also respond well to sensitive skin which we all have.

Bug wipes: I don’t love the idea of spraying bug spray on my kids and when Liam was a baby Andrew discovered the bug wipes! These are SO GOOD to wipe on your kiddos (or yourself) before being outside.

Water bottles: A good water bottle that keeps water ice cold is so important. For Liam, we use this simple modern water bottle. Charlotte has this Yeti. I of course love my Stanley. All are great options.

Beach tent: We used this when Charlotte was a baby and it was so great! If you have a really little one you need to keep out of the sun or feed, or they need to nap this is great for all of this!

Beach toys: This is such a cute little beach toy a friend recently recommended. I just purchased it for our upcoming beach trip. This is another great option. Another fun idea is to pack a kite!

What is an item for the beach with kids you always have to bring?

We’re the type of family that love to enjoy the beach year-round. And we love activities like hole digging, or sandcastle building. so I always bring toys to do these.
