Raise your hand if you are sleeping enough! Crickets right? I figured. The truth is I don’t feel like most people get nearly enough sleep. At least no one I talk to does. So today I am sharing what to do when you aren’t getting enough sleep.

The obvious choice would be go to bed earlier. I swear I say every single day “tonight we have to go to bed earlier!” Then you get in bed and you put on one episode of Friends, and before you know it you’ve watched half a season. But seriously just go to bed earlier! The books, Netflix, Instagram, etc can wait. Turn off the screens and enjoy those extra hours!

Second, exercise. Exercise always makes me more tired. I find that the days I exercise I can fall asleep much easier. The days I do not work out I feel like I toss and turn more. So try to do a workout at some point during your day and see if your sleep improves.

      I haven’t gotten enough sleep since before I had kids. No lie, my oldest is 13 and I STILL can’t get a good nights sleep. I need to try this.

      I love to use essential oils! I use deterra’s Serenity blend and try to remember to put it in my diffuser before I climb into bed because then as soon as I walk into my room, it’s just this relaxing environment and I can’t help but just fall right asleep.

      I’m all for alternative ways to get in some caffeine instead of chugging coffee or soda all day everyday! Invia sounds like it could be a good solution.

      Firts time hearing this. It sounds like a good alternative. As someone who needs her 8 hours beauty sleep, I use the digital detox challenge method I talked about months ago. Switching off digital stuff and go to bed early.
