Something about summer just screams frozen drinks. Maybe it’s the fact that in Texas it regularly hits 100 degrees on a daily basis. I can remember in my early 20’s really loving mudslide drinks! Andrew and I decided to create a yummy summer mudslide. It’s a cinnamon dark chocolate mudslide, and guys it’s one of the greatest things I have ever had!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup of Silk® Nutchello™ Dark Chocolate with Walnuts
- 2 shots of your rum of choice
- Ice
- Highball glass
- Cinnamon to top
- 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
Instructions:
- Combine Silk® Nutchello™ Dark Chocolate with Walnuts, Rum, Ice, and Almond Milk into a blender
- Blend on high until smooth
- Pour in a highball glass
- Top with cinnamon
- Add a fun straw!
ENJOY!
Very simple, very yummy, and perfect for summer!
Why we chose these ingredients? For one, we prefer mudslides with rum. I know a lot of people use vodka, but I am more of a rum person. Second, using almond milk and Silk Nutchello is a lot healthier than some of the other mudslide recipes I have seen.
We are huge fans of Silk Nutchello in our house. The Dark Chocolate with Walnuts is perfect for a drink like this because it isn’t crazy overpowering, but it really gives you a delicious chocolate nutty flavor. I really love Silk Nutchello because it’s dairy free, and lower in sugar, saturated fat, and cholesterol. It is perfect to mix with coffee, use in cocktails, and with smoothies! These are ways we use it all the time! To see my other two posts about how we use Silk Nutchello, go here and here.
I would love to know if you try this cinnamon dark chocolate mudslide! It is really amazing!
What is your favorite summer cocktail to make?
This post was sponsored by Silk as part of an influencer activation for the #SilkCrowd and Socialstars™. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review, but all opinions are my own.
What a great combination!! I can’t wait to try this out.
I’ve been curious about that stuff! It looks delicious!
This looks so good! I love cinnamon and chocolate together! Such a great and interesting combo!
For summer, I tend to go with fruit cocktails! However, I’m a rum girl so that drink is totally appealing to me.
These look delicious! I don’t normally drink sweet cocktails but this looks like a great summer treat!

How neat! I didn’t realize Silk had so many flavors. I thought all they had were the basic vanilla/unsweetened stuff. Where can you buy them?

Hmmmm, do I have to pick just one? If I had to pick a favorite summer cocktail it would be something icey and fruity like a strawberry daquiri.

Saving the recipe! I am collecting a lot of recipes for my son who is studying to be a chef. He is now doing hands-on training at a French restaurant and would probably work there after he is done with his academics.
I actually do not drink anymore but even without the rum this sounds yummy. I haven’t tried any of these yet but have seen them in the store–after I check out the carb count I will try one of them.
I don’t drink anymore, but I have to say that this looks delicious 🙂
Your cocktails are always so on point and this one looks amazing!
