Hi guys and happy Friday! I hope you had a great week. I sure did. Lots of work, lots of good workouts, and prepping for our vacation next week.
I love the Friday Five posts because I can touch on a few different things I want to mention!
1. Alex and Ani bracelets. I was given the chance to receive three gorgeous Alex and Ani bracelets and let me tell you that I lurve them! I can’t wait to add more to my collection. I wear the N nearly everyday and the other along with it most of the time. I think these bracelets are so cute and delicate and yes I am very late to the Alex and Ani party! Make sure to check out the site and let me know which are your favorites. I saw a Dallas Cowboys one I think I need.
2. New Gym: I joined a new gym a while back and I am just loving it! It’s such a fun environment and it’s been so long since I have had a nice gym membership. I love that there is a restaurant with healthy food and smoothies and juices as well as a really nice spa! I am planning on a massage in a few weeks after our vacation. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I don’t mind that at all. I love the trainers too. I have a great personal trainer there and it has made a huge difference in my journey to be healthier.
3. Football Season: Football is back! Sort of. Well preseason anyways. The first Cowboys preseason game was last night. It was a late game since it was being played in San Diego so I would love to say I stayed up to watch the entire thing but I think I’ll have to settle for listening to recaps on sports radio all day. Fact about me I listen to sports radio only in my car. The only time I put music on is if there is a commercial. Bet you didn’t think that huh?
4. Books: I have been a reading machine lately. I completely reread all of Emily Giffin’s books in about 5 days. Please leave books suggestions below. Yes I am on goodreads.
5. Weekend of nothing: We have no plans this weekend and I am pumped. We both have a lot to do before we leave town next week but I am looking forward to just spending time relaxing with my husband without any commitments.
Bonus: I am having dinner with one of my best friends from middle/high school on Tuesday. I haven’t seen her in almost 3 years because she couldn’t be here for our wedding and I am so excited! Shout out to Kelly!
What are you up to this weekend?

I’m reading Boys in the Boat at the moment, and it is really an inspiring story of the young men who won the Olympics in 1936 rowing contest. A little detailed, but very interesting historical details.
FOOTBALL! Can’t wait to tailgate!
Doing nothings on the weekend is the best! I have plans to go to a Food Truck Fair tonight, but other than that, it’s just cleaning, relaxing, and seeing what feels right to me at the moment! And I plan on finally catching up on my sleep after having one too many busy weekends this summer.
Hope yours is wonderful!
Just gearing up for a very quick trip to Atlanta next week. We get back the day before school starts, so I feel like I need to be all ready before that! Those bracelets are really pretty!
I’m glad I’m not the only one excited for football to start back! I, too, only listen to ESPN in the car!!!
I also love all Emily Giffin books and I recommend Unsticky by Sarra Manning and all Paige Toon books. These 2 authors are Brits and their books are so good….
I need a relaxing nothing to do kind of weekend too. We’re going to the Ranger’s game tonight. Then we’ll be working on picking out and researching things for our new house that we’re building. Have a fabulous weekend! Stacie xo
Love the bracelets and I’m looking forward to football only because it means FALL, I love the smells, the colors, the tastes
Nice. Sounds like you had a great week, and a relaxing weekend coming up. I just read Big Little Lies. I really liked it. I read her first book, The Husband Secret, and wasn’t really impressed, so this was a surprise.
Fun idea for Fridays! I’ve been trying to read a lot lately too! Enjoy your weekend!
Those bracelets are gorgeous!
I always tell the mister the best gift he ever gave me, besides my kids, was a gym membership. Sometimes when I do not workout I forget out great of an atmosphere it is, but when i return it is like a breath of fresh air. I love it.
Yep, it is football season….nothing more to say. lol.
Weekends with no plans are the BEST. And I highly recommend Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography. It’s HYSTERICAL.

And Possibly Dinosaurs
I’m extremely excited for football season – college and NFL. We’re so close.
Those bracelets are gorgeous!
