Finding a quick and easy birthday gift for a friend can be kind of tough. Especially when that friend seems to have everything they need and can be a difficult person to shop for. Well, knowing that a friend loves a few certain things can be a helpful way to start shopping.
Recently, it was a new friends birthday, and while we haven’t been friends for too too long, I know I wanted to get her a little something to show her that she is cared about!
I set off to where else, Target. I had already picked up a cute Kate Spade pen for her, but I wanted to grab her things I know she loves. So what did I know about this friend? She is a busy mom, she loves sweets, coffee, and lip balm. You can see why we became fast friends.
I found a precious coffee mug from Starbucks for her, some of her favorite Nestle Crunch candy, a darling little notebook for her to carry in her purse, and of course some Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice lip balm which is available only at Target. I have been a Burt’s Bees fan for YEARS. I love not only their lip balms, but their cuticle cream and lip crayons as well. The addition of Pumpkin Spice lip balm for the season is so fun!
The Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice lip balm is so unique. I mean, I’m a pretty basic girl, so of course I love all things Pumpkin Spice. I had to pick one up for myself when I grabbed one for my friend’s gift.
What I did is I took the candy and filled the coffee mug with it. Then I placed in the other items on top. I put it in a gift bag before I gave it to her, but I love how fun it looked all put together. Getting a friend a gift doesn’t have to be expensive, and it doesn’t have to be fancy. But it should show that you pay attention to their likes, dislikes, and interests, and take a little time and effort into getting something for them. It would also be fun to put in a gift card to their favorite store or restaurant. Even adding a cute nail polish is an option as well.
My friend loved her gift and she loved the touch of the macaroons on the coffee mug (she loves desserts) as well as the Pumpkin Spice lip balm from Burt’s Bees. She is a huge lip balm person and told me most days it’s all she has time for beauty-wise, so having a fun flavor was really special to her.

Oh I am making mug gifts for all my coworkers this year, I love seeing your ideas. I love that macaron mug. I really wish we still had target in Canada so I could get that burt’s bees flavour, sadly I cannot. I did just get their limited edition apple caramel flavour so hopefully that will do.
It’s a great gift! I hate Burt Bees after that horrible women stole his company out from under him . He did a documentary before he died on how she stole his Money , business and land. I refuse to use their products once you know that story the sight of their products will make you sick.
