If you are a blogger like me you probably get beyond frustrated with your blog Facebook page pretty often. I know for me it used to be a constant struggle. The algorithms change a lot, engagement drops, and you just have no idea what’s happening. But wait! I am going to show you how to grow your Facebook page now so that you do not struggle with this anymore!

Grow Your Facebook Page NOW!
Tip 1 Use Instagram: I have spoken before about how I post my Instagram photos to my Facebook page vs my personal page. I do this for 2 reasons. One my regular page friends already see my photos. Second, when I post photos to my Facebook page it boosts my engagement.
Tip 2 Post Relevant Content that isn’t JUST Yours: Posting your blog post of the day and Instagram photos are great. In fact you should always do that. However, that shouldn’t be the ONLY thing you post. If I read a funny or informative article I try to post it on my Facebook page. Now this doesn’t happen everyday, but even those Buzzfeed articles like “78 things anyone who grew up in the 90’s will understand” are great things to post. They always get likes, shares, comments, etc. That boosts your engagement therefore your next few posts are seen by more people. It also brings in more likes. Even funny photos are important. Take for instance the below article and photo.

These are examples of fun and relevant things I posted to my readers. They got great interaction, lots of likes, shares, and comments. The reach was fantastic. The following days on after both posts (a month apart) my engagement was 250% higher than when I do not post fun and relevant articles. Just try it.

Tip 3 Post often, Be consistent: I spend a few hours a week coaching other bloggers. Most of them tell me they either 1. Do not have a blog Facebook page or 2. They have one and do not use it. WHYYYYY!? You need to be posting daily and more than once a day. If you don’t have a new blog post that day then post an older post. Post Instagram photos. Post fun articles. All things I have mentioned above. These are important. These keep you consistent! By being consistent your page will gain likes and engagement. You can’t just post once or twice a week or worse every month or so. That’s why your page is NOT growing.
Tip 4 Play with timing: Timing is everything, right? We hear it our entire life. It’s not just for finding a spouse or a job. Timing is everything with social media. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest the times that work for you change and change often. I play around with those times constantly. You have to see what works for you. For some social media channels there are tools that help with this. I prefer to just schedule out different posts and see when I am getting the most engagement and go from there. You have to work with it and try different things out.
Tip 5 Schedule and use tools: Buffer, IFTTT, Co-Schedule. All of these things are part of my life. Why? Because they work and they help! If you aren’t using scheduling tools you aren’t doing yourself any favors. You need tools that will streamline your blog and help you out. Otherwise you are spending a lot more time and energy that could go into other areas of your blog.
I hope these tips on how to grow your Facebook page now help you guys out! Seriously give them a try for a few months and see if it works.

This is so great! For some reason I’ve never thought of posting my Instagram pics to my Facebook page for my blog! Changing that starting….NOW! Thanks for the tips! xoxox, Kayla http://www.lostgenygirl.com
Facebook is my one thing I kind of lack on with my blog, love the idea of sharing my Instagram posts to my blog facebook page! I also try and share other people’s content to my page but that’s where I often fall behind!

I am not on Instagram–I do not take photos–but I do post m=to FB every day–and share others posts on there as well. The only time I get a WHOLE lot of likes is when I share pics of cats and dogs!! Of course I pribably do okay–I;m not complaining-but I wish it would stop going up and down!!
I remember that scene from the movie about the perfect date, it’s really funny. Facebook is consistently changing so I refuse to obsess over it.
YES YES YES!! Consistency really is KEY. I totally used to be one of those people who created a Facebook page for my blog and then didn’t touch it for YEARS. I’ve just started being consistent and using it to connect with my readers in another way (and share content and photos they may otherwise miss) and it’s amazing what it can do! I still have a long way to go, but I’m getting better!
These are great tips on growing facebook!! It is crazy how much what works seems to keep changing over the years!
I actually don’t have a FB page for my blog, but I can totally see how it could be helpful. These are some really awesome tips for boosting engagement, and I think it could work on other platforms as well! Have an awesome Monday!
This is so helpful! I really want to work on growing my Facebook page this summer and I never thought of posting my Instagram photos to my Facebook page rather than my personal. Awesome!

It’s funny, Facebook is one of those tools that I have but don’t use but I’m definitely going to put a lot more effort into it. I didn’t know that posting other random links would boost engagement. . .very interesting!

These are great tips! I need to get better at posting quotes/funny pictures!
I really appreciated your tips! I have scheduled with Hootsuite but want to explore the other scheduling tools you mentioned here. I have played with timing some, and find the results of FB posts at different time very interesting.
These are great tips for growing our FB page! I am doing all of them, except I don’t do Instagram. Being a visual person, I know it makes sense, yet I’ve been hesitant to add another platform to my repertoire. I do use a variety of scheduling tools and have just recently used the FB post scheduler to mix up times and posts. Because the algorithms keep changing, the more successful tools and tips we have, the better.
These are some great tips for growing your Facebook page. It’s harder to do so with their new algorithm but much easier with your advice.
This is interesting to read. I personally don’t have one for my own blog, but I hope to run social media for a company someday and will have to bookmark this post!

This is all really true, but my problem is time. I’m also not consistent about it!
Many great tips here, I guess I will need to hire a full time assistant to help me out. Something to consider.
What a helpful post. My Facebook page has hardly any engagement. Adding Instagram photos and other content will be great!
This are some useful tips, thank you! Will try them 🙂
I struggle with my facebook page so much!! I definitely need to work on being consistent, and putting more of a variety up of what I post. It can be so frustrating at times. Your post is really helpful. I’m sharing it and saving it for later. 🙂
Awesome! I am going to give these tricks a try. I like the idea of sharing other viral posts. The hardest part is finding time to schedule everything. But I think I’ll try this this week and see what happens!
I would love to get a scheduler that was free for all accounts! I definitely use these tips. My goal is get 500 page likes by the end of summer.
Such great advice for increasing FB followers and engagement! I have to check out IFTTT for some new recipes. Do you have any that you use and recommend?
Great tips Neely! I pretty much have given up on my facebook page and it seems to grow pretty organically. I got super annoyed with Facebook’s algorithm, but maybe I will get back into it!
Great tips! I do most of the things you have mentioned. I really want to get more fb likes but it seems tough. I only post about once a day or every other day so I will try to increase that!
Thank you so much for this! Firstly, I didn’t know how I could connect Instagram to my Facebook page so thanks for that. I’ll try to be more consistent because I guess that’s a major reason the page isn’t growing. Thanks a lot. This will surely help! 🙂
Great tips. I do struggle with this a bit. I think posting other content (like Buzzfeed stuff) will definitely help!
These are wonderful tips. I might have to switch my Instagram to go to my Facebook blog page. One of the best things I did for my page was start posting other peoples content. Before I was just posting new blog posts twice a week. Now my page likes have really gone up, as has engagement.
Great tips! FB is probably the number one lead to my blog so it’s definitely worth taking the time to work on! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
I’ve heard that FB doesn’t like schedulers which is why I don’t use one often, when I do use one it is always the FB page scheduler. I do need to be more consistent about sharing things. I’m finally starting to figure out what resonates with my followers and I’m getting better at posting things that appeal to them.
I recently discovered the trick to have Instagram post to my page and my engagement has increased like crazy! I had no idea you could do that until recently, but I’m so glad I discovered it!
Good, solid advice, Neely! I’m still working on the timing thing – it eludes me, but I think that I could nail it down a bit better if I were more consistent. So many things to work on. (“Oh, you’re a blogger – that must be fun! What do you do, work like 30 minutes a day and then play on FB whenever you want? Right?”)
This post is so informative! You said to post to Facebook more than once a day. My blog is pretty new still so I have been posting 2-3 times a week. I don’t want to inundate my followers with too many things or with the same thing on every social media account. Do you think it is better to post less when you are new? Or is it better to just dive in and post a ton, no matter what stage your blog is in? Thanks!
Useful and interesting post, thank you!
These are all great tips. Facebook is just not my favorite for the blog so I don’t put much effort into it. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t even have a FB blog page!
I definitely need to post more things besides just my own material. Great suggestions!
This is awesome! I’m definitely trying to get better about using my facebook page more and more. I want to increase my following on that and pinterest since both have been lagging lately.
I really need to step up my Facebook game more! I need to start posting things that don’t directly relate to my blog!

I still need to change my instagram to my Facebook page rather than my personal page. Thanks for the reminder and the great tips.
I need to post more of content that’s not just mine! Thanks for this girl.

I actually get the MOST engagement on Facebook. I’m kind of a mess on IG but I feel like I do well on FB. I do exactly what you wrote about here and it does definitely help.
These are some really good points! Sadly most I know, I just completely FORGET :/ Something I will need to plan for more closely!
Thank you for the tips. I plan to use some that I wasn’t using before. 🙂
Great tips! I need to start posting to my blog fb page and not my personal!
I definitely need to get better about growing my blog’s FB page and this post is wonderful motivation!

I haven’t quite gotten around to making a Facebook page yet but these are great tips! I will definitely keep them in mind for the future!

Thank you for the great tips. I think my downfall is just not posting enough! I try to post on IG every day but somehow feel Facebook posts have to be even better than IG posts. Maybe I will try the double post thing and see what happens. Thanks!
thanks for sharing your tips. i have just started hootsuite to help me with pre-scheduling…
Just connected my Instagram to my Facebook page because of you! I’m trying out scheduled posts for this week to see how it goes because I’m so done with having no engagement with my posts! My page is one of my biggest social media struggles, and it’s difficult to imagine it being successful when it hasn’t happened yet. Thanks for these great tips!

Great tips! One thing I am also doing to grow my page, I share my page posts using the share option to about 20 to 30 groups I belong to (recipes) and that usually drives engagement and increases my reach. On days I don’t average reach is about 100 if I am lucky (I have about 10k likes) but when I share, reach goes to about 6k to 7K.
Great post! I’m in the midst of growing my FB page. My goal is to get to 1k likes by the beginning of August – I’m less than 250 away!

Absolutely wonderful tips! I love buffer and it has become such a game changer for me. Thanks!
Good tips! I need to start sharing stuff other than my own.
I have really been trying to step my Facebook game up since it is the weakest of all of my social media accounts, so I really appreciate this post! Thanks for sharing your wisdom with us 🙂

These are such great tips. I have a FB Page for my blog but I have to admit I wasn’t that consistent when I was in Italy, I am now encouraged by you start again. Thanks for sharing.

I am just now beginning to see the impact of going viral on FB and it made me realize I need to step up my game. Love this post and totally pinned it! 🙂
Good advice! I also need to grow my Facebook Page, this is really helpful.
Wow, this is really such great advice! I have been trying to grow my FB audience, but it seems to stay pretty stagnant. I really think that these tips will help me though and I realize there’s a lot more I could be doing! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for these tips!! I love how easy they are, and now I’m off to post on my blog’s Facebook. 🙂
I have recently started using IFTTT to post my Instagram photos to my Facebook page and it is working SOOOOOO great. I have already seen an increase in my engagement and reach, even getting a few new followers. Great tips, Love it!

I’m definitely one of the guilty ones who doesn’t have a Facebook page for my blog, but I am definitely thinking about it! All of these tips are so great- already pinned the post to look over when I finally make the jump and start one!
I love the tip you give about sharing other content on your page. I used to only share my blog posts only on my Facebook page and would rarely get any interactions.
I just recently started posting my insta pics to my FB page instead of my normal profile – it really works at getting more engagement. I need to schedule more content though, these tips are great.
I have been wanting to work on growing my Facebook page as my big to-do for this month. These are great tips that I have not read from other bloggers before! Great post, it is very helpful!
Newly,
When you post, do you copy the link and paste it onto your post? Or do you share it directly from the other pages post (via share button)?
Would love an email [email protected]
Thanks 🙂
I’ve had a blog for nearly 6 months but have only just started a dedicated page for it.
Found this article very helpful thank you!
Some really great ideas that I hadn’t thought of before, I am really interested in trying out Facebook Advertising as this is one area I have yet to explore.
This is so great!!!! I have a facebook page for my blog but is really hard to get engagement there. I’m gonna start using half of your tips (because I already do the other half) hahah.
Thank you!!!!
