When we bought our house, our guest room was pretty much our last priority. Most of our family and friends live nearby and we don’t have a TON of guests stay with us. In fact the first time we had a guest stay they slept on an air mattress in that room. Cut to 2 years since we bought our home and we finally upgraded the room! It was pretty much piece mealed together with random items we had or found very cheap. Well we partnered with Joybird Furniture and custom designed a few items, as well as finding some beautiful things on their site to make this room a place that our guests will love.
Guest Room Makeover
This is what the room looked like before. Not terrible, but just not my favorite.
From Joybird we designed 2 night stands, and a chair and we found, 2 amazing lamps and a gorgeous piece of artwork for above the bed. I am OBSESSED with how it turned out!
I feel like now it’s such a bright, happy room that we are thrilled to welcome guests to! We also snagged these GORGEOUS lamps for our bedroom! The marble really gave our bedroom such a boost!
Here is what I love about Joybird. You completely customize the furniture. From the legs to the color of the fabric to the finish. You also get updates as each step of the process is completed. We knew we wanted a gray chair. We knew we wanted really sleek yet simple night stands. We also knew we wanted statement lamps and a piece of art work that really caught your eye when you walk in. We found all of that. In fact it was REALLY hard to narrow it down! We love our guest room makeover. I feel like you can find really gorgeous, quality, pieces for affordable prices. Such a great way to upgrade rooms in your house. The pieces take about 8 weeks or so but they are 100% worth the wait. They offer white glove service, so once the furniture is shipped it’s delivered and set up in your home. This is a huge deal for us because we have stairs and getting furniture up them is kind of tough. We are so happy with our experience with Joybird and will absolutely be using them again!
