As we approach the end of 2014 which is crazy to type I look back on this year. I think of a new year and new goals. New year, new goals sounds good right? I think goals are better than resolutions because goals are far more attainable and easier to measure.
I look at the goals I set for 2014:
Let’s see how I measured up
Not stress as much: BIG FAIL
Take one hour a day for myself: Did OK with this.
Be better…to everyone. I don’t think this needs a lot of explaining. I just want to be better. I can always be better.
Move upwards. I will move upwards in work, in my blog, in my life. I will do more. For sure did this.
I will be more thankful. Fail.
I will smile at strangers…a lot. Not enough
I will laugh everyday. Not enough
I will be healthy. I am healthy not but I want to be healthier for myself. Food wise, exercise, general health. This was back and forth
So in 2015 I will….
Read 52 Books
Focus on being tone not the number on the scale
Respect myself more, love myself more, be good to myself
Quality time over quantity time….with everyone. 30 minutes of true conversation is better than 3 hours of silence next to the same person. This is a no brainer.
Be healthy everyday. This does not mean I have to work out everyday just be healthy. Take vitamins, eat healthy foods, work out when I can and want to and be healthy in general.
Grow in every single way possible with everything. My work, my blog, my relationships.
Travel to at least one new place.
Do more for others.
Be an all around better person, friend, wife, daughter.
What do you want out of 2015?

I would love to be able to read 52 books in one year! That seems nearly impossible with 2 small kids unless Dr. Seuss counts 😉 — This year my goals are to grow my blog, lose weight (how cliche) and read my bible every night!
Great list of goals! I think those are very doable and realistic. I haven’t thought too much about my goals, but so far I am hoping to get into pre-baby shape, train for a 5K again, get in a better place job wise and budget better.
I love that you set amazing holistic goals for yourself! I would have trouble sticking to such grand goals though without small short-term goals to help me get better. I like to set action steps for those larger goals – Like I want to be healthy this year. How will I go about it? I’ll commit to yoga 4 days a week, meal plan for the week each Sunday and take a daily gummy vitamin (because I know I won’t swallow the pills). You get the idea.
I’m writing about my New Year’s goals on 1/1/2015! You’ve given me inspiration thank you!

I love “be healthy every day”! That is one of my goals for this year as well, and I’m excited to see the results. This past year I found myself so caught up in being “healthy” — working out 6x a week, eating well, and constantly worrying about if I had done enough. This year, I’m just going to focus on feeling good — I would rather be a little soft, but be less stressed, than be more toned and constantly worried.
Great goals for 2015!! I think they are all absolutely attainable. I think this year I want to focus more on my relationships and making the best out of them… I feel like work has taken over my life and I have let relationships slide, so 2015 is going to be the year of focusing on them!
Great goals Neely! Very impressive. I had a terrible year in 2014 due to someone causing evil in my life that caused months of problems. Now that person is kicked to the curb and I begin again. I learned not to trust, to learn to do without basic needs to start over and that everything happens for a reason. I plan on not asking for anything but peace, good health and true friends in my life. I am not pushing my luck but I will be exercising more and continue my quest to be kind to strangers and smile at everyone, to not judge and to be more compassionate in all things. Happy new Year!
To be nicer. Kind, actually. From my heart.
Love your list!
I want to read the Bible the whole way through, tone also, be and feel healthy and love, love, love on my family and friends!
I love how you looked back at 2014! I don’t usually write down my goals, but I would have to say I know I failed a lot of mine too last year. Praise God for second chances right?lol

This is a great list!! I need to start on mine!
Love your goals, rooting for you! 🙂
These are great goals… and I love the idea of reading 52 books! I had planned to read 36 this year, and I ended up reading 50, so I’m still trying to figure out what my goal will be in 2015!
Sounds like some great goals! And I agree that goals are way better than resolutions. My goals are to grow my blog, which I’m still trying to figure out… , take a vacation to the Bahamas, create my own business, and some other personal goals. Lots to do in 2015!!

I love these goals. I think we can always be nicer and healthier to yourself and others.
My biggest goals in 2015 are to run my first half marathon, help more people live healthy lifestyles and spend more time doing the things that I love.
I love your goals! Traveling is huge for me. I definitely want to do a lot more of that in 2015.
My main goal is to end procrastination (or less of it) and enter into a state of wellness (better diet and more exercise). I want to connect with more sponsors via the blog, put more into my new web design venture, and just overall less stress.
This has inspired me to start on my 2015 goals. Can’t believe it going to be 2015…
I’d like to start giving back to my church in some way this year. I helped a bit using social media to promote Christmas events and a concert.
These are such great goals, I haven’t set any yet, I really need to start!
One year I set a large book goal for myself and I learned a way to read more…books on audiotape. Absolutely loved listening to great books, mostly read by the authors, on my drive to and from work. Might be a way to tackle your 52!
