Things Everyone Else Loves But I Don’t

So is it just me or do you see people getting all excited about certain things and you just don’t get the appeal? I want to share things everyone else loves but I don’t because honestly I want to see if I am alone in this.

Things Everyone Else Loves But I Don’t

  • Game Of Thrones: Y’all I do not get this. I tried to watch it and I was so bored. No thanks.
  • Chipotle: This is the one I get the most crap for because my husband and best friend both love it but I have tried several different things and I just don’t like it.
  • Summer: I would rather have freezing cold temps any day of the week than be sweating my makeup off and feeling gross.
  • Baseball: Give me football for 7 months instead. K thanks. I mean I like baseball, but I just don’t love it like some people do. I am the epitome of a bandwagon fan.
  • American Horror Story: See Game Of Thrones. Same story.
  • Horror Movies: OK this is tricky, because growing up I loved them, but as an adult I am a huge scaredy cat. I do not want to be scared! Why does anyone want to be scared?!
  • Sushi: There are some sushi rolls I will eat, but unlike my husband and lots of friends of mine, I do not crave it, and it will never be what I want. Mexican food? All day everyday!
  • Moscow Mules: The glasses are cute. But the drink itself tastes awful. Also, it seems overly trendy. Like all of the sudden every wedding registry had Moscow Mule glasses and menus at restaurants were all about them.
  • Heels: Who wants to have sore feet? Not me. Flats are cute and stylish so whatever.
  • Staying up late: Even before I got pregnant I prefer to go to bed early. I am a morning person, and I like feeling rested to be productive.

What are some things everyone else loves but you don’t?

I absolutely hate hot weather and sunlight.
I grew up playing soccer and swimming and loved it, but had so much more fun when it was cloudy and/or breezy. Rain was fantastic.

  3. I 100% agree on the baseball sentiments! I just don’t get the appeal of the sport, but I do love attending baseball games (warm weather, hot dogs and a beer!?).

WOW!!! This could nearly be written by me! I also do not love summer (I live in Michigan and the humidity is unbearable in the summer!), GoT (My husband loves it. I couldn’t keep any of the names straight. I gave up, bored to tears.), Chipotle (I’ve never eaten there and have no desire to.), horror movies (I cannot stand them!), AHS (Never watched it. Never will. The commercials alone scare me!), sushi (Seriously? WHY do people consume this?!), heels (I live in flats. I haven’t worn heels in years.), and Moscow Mules (I had to ask my friends what they were when they were talking about them one night. Blech.). Another thing I dislike that EVERYONE loves is Starbucks and coffee in general. (I’ve actually had people SHOCKED at this “revelation”. I can’t even stand the smell of coffee. Gross.)

I totally agree on Game of Thrones. Summer heat, high heels, Moscow Mules and Chipotle.
I do love sushi and could have it everyday, although that would probably get boring. And I like AHS – cannot wait for the next season to be available here in Germany.
Not a football nor baseball fan, but I was never so much into watching sports unless it’s the Olympics.

  9. I agree with you on every single one of these!!! Funny story about me wearing heels..my high school friends all lived in big cities where heels were required if you were going out (in their eyes) and I live in Raleigh where you have country bars and little hole in the walls. We went to Miami for my friends 21st birthday and they made me wear heels. I left early and went back to the hotel bc my feet were hurting so bad. 5 years later they have never forced me to wear heels again!

I feel the same way about baseball! Football is the only sport that I really care about and take a real interest in. Anything else, I’d rather not watch. And horror movies are not my thing either. I don’t mind being scared so much as I don’t like all the blood and gore that comes with it!

  15. I’m with you on summer. I love it for about a week, and I love summer clothing. But I HATE being hot and I hate sweating, so I’m miserable most of the summer. Dave also hates hot weather, so we keep our home extremely cold during the summer!

  16. I’m so with you on summer. I have heat intolerance so if it’s over 75 I can’t do anything fun outside, over 90 and I’m not going outside at all. I’m also with you on sushi and Chipotle. I’m also the only person I know that doesn’t like steak. If I’m at a steakhouse, I order chicken.

  17. We definitely agree on a few: not a big fan of summer (I enjoy it for a bit, but could totally live without the humidity and crawl out of my skin feeling), heels, and staying up late (bed by 10pm, thank you very much!)…but we also disagree on a few: sushi (I like it, I couldn’t eat it everyday, but I enjoy it as a treat), chipotle (same as sushi, I used to totally not get it, or like it, but once I realized you can actually get a salad, it changed the game for me. lol), and horror movies (no, thank you!)

I am totally with you on Game of Thrones and American Horror Story! They are both way too weird for me. I also agree with baseball, WHY are there so many games yet only 16-20 for football? I just don’t understand. When it comes to Moscow Mules, I am all about them! It’s weird because I stated drinking them when I turned 21 and most bars/restaurants didn’t even have the supplies to make them- now they are everywhere! I am not complaining, but it’s crazy how trendy it got!

I’ve never watched Game of Thrones…just doesn’t look appealing to me either. I think baseball is super boring, and Chipotle is way overpriced. I do have to say I tried a Moscow Mule the other day and it had pomegranate in it, and was pretty yummy…but I’ve also had some gross ones too 🙂

What?! I don’t understand you haha first off, Game of Thrones is amazing. My husband and I are huge fans of it. We even got his mom and brother hooked on it as well. Same with American Horror Story. It’s the best. Chipotle took me some time to get into simply because I’m not a big fan of Mexican foods. But I now get the burrito bowl every time we’re there and LOVE it. As for summer, it’s my favorite time of year aside from fall. Fall is actually becoming my favorite the older I get. But winter is just never okay to me. It’s disgusting actually lol it makes my blood boil just thinking about it. I love baseball and worked for the MiLB this past summer. I hope to work full-time for the Red Sox once my husband is out of the military and we move back to New England. I live of of sushi. Seriously. I could eat it all day every day and never get sick of it lol

Now this sounds like a whole lot of negativity, but I DO agree with you on Moscow Mules. I don’t get it. They’re just not very good at all. They’re cute though! And staying up late just isn’t my cup of tea these days. I used to be a huge night owl, but ever since we moved to California, we’re in bed every night between 10 and 11 at the very latest and are up sometime between 7 and 9. Surprisingly, I love it haha

  39. What a fun post idea! I will admit that I am a pretty big fan of both Game of Thrones and American Horror Story though. Most of the other things I am definitely on the same page! For me, I am not a fan of Starbucks. At all. I think that their coffee pales in comparison to quite a few local coffee shops ♥
