Tourney Time Entertaining Tips

If you have been following me for any amount of time you know I’m a huge sports person! That doesn’t just mean football! Nope, we love basketball and especially college basketball! You know what happens in March so it’s always fun to have friends over to watch all the fun basketball games. Especially when you have a baby and getting out can be tricky! DFW Sam’s Clubs make entertaining SO easy with their great deals and low prices, not to mention DELICIOUS options! Here are some tourney time entertaining tips so that everyone can have a good time-even YOU!

Tourney Time Entertaining Tips

Have healthy options: We always have a veggie tray for snacks! It’s really a must have when you need balance for all the other not so healthy things.  Chips and Dip are a no brainer! Everyone loves them and they are so delicious! We actually keep the Italian Rose Fresh Salsa in our house all the time. Game day or not it’s a great thing to have around. The Members Mark Spinach Artichoke Dip is another favorite of ours and always a crowd pleaser. You can also buy Sabra Hummus Singles which people LOVE! Plus easy cleanup! We also love getting fresh avocados, peppers, tomatoes etc and making guac!

Have crowd pleasers: Hotdogs and hamburgers are a staple item and Sam’s Club has great deals on Hebrew National Hot Dogs. A selection of sodas is good to have and you can get a great variety at Sam’s.

Kid Friendly stuff: If your friends are going to bring kiddos over too having something kiddo friendly like Goldfish crackers is always a win! Fun party idea: buy mini red solo cups and fill them with goldfish. Easy access for kids! Also grab some juice boxes and mini bottles of water for those little hands.

Easy Cleanup: While you’re at Sam’s getting all the essentials make sure to grab some Clorox wipes, and trash-bags! These things make cleaning up so quick and easy.

For my DFW friends: Even better news for Dallas shoppers! Sam’s Club now has new lower everyday prices on thousands of items at DFW area Sam’s Club locations. For details, visit www.samsclub.com/lowprice.   This is why we shop at Sam’s EVERY SINGLE WEEK! The best!

  1. Healthy snacks are a must! Sometimes if I’m not hosting a party or something, I make sure to contribute to the host’s platter with some veggie sticks or something! 🙂

Our favorite is Olympic curling. Followed by NFL football and NHL hockey. Used to watch basketball, but ever since Jordan retired, no one compares!

Can’t say we are a basketball family, but I gotta tell ya we are all about the guacamole and nachos. Kid friendly snacks are just a norm around here

We probably watch the most football to watch on tv. We’ve been to professional baseball and hockety games but I’ve never seen football live and I’d like to. We love Sams.

  9. Serving healthy snacks are a must when you watch sports year round! I always gained weight during football season from all the tailgating. Love your ideas 🙂

I love veggies, chips, and dips as party snacks. I love baking too though so I usually make a not-so-healthy treat for afterwards 🙂

  14. I don’t really watch sports on TV, but I love to watch ice hockey in person. It’s fun. I’d totally let people come hang out and watch sports if I could eat though. 🙂

Chips and salsa/guacamole is always a great idea. I love making a meat, cheese, and fruit tray for my family whenever we’re watching a game or a movie together.
