Weekend Reading

Happy weekend! Or as I like to call it day 9 of our never-ending weekend! We had a “snow week” here in Dallas so it’s been a weekend for a while. This weekend we actually have a fun plan for the kids. We rented out a space in Dallas for kids for just our family on Saturday for 90 minutes. I am so excited to take the kids. They haven’t really done much of anything the past year so this will be great for them! But first, weekend reading time.

Weekend Reading

What we’ve been up to:

It was not an easy week by any means! Our power was off most of Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It got VERY cold in our house with negative wind chills. But we made it. We did end up going to a friend’s for a few hours Tuesday to thaw and then the amount of time the outages occurred slowed down. It was not fun by any means but could always be worse.

I immediately clicked on the kitchen color trends and I have no regrets. (Is the everymom an off-shoot of the everygirl? Glad to know it exists!) These kitchens look so beautiful, I want them all. Thank you for letting me in on it, darling!

Ugh, we have had a very similar week in the Houston area! We lost power for 32 hours straight then had it intermittently for the next couple of days. We are going on just over 36 hours straight of power and internet!! It was like prepping for a hurricane (which I’m used to as a Florida native) only MUCH colder. I did a lot of reading and scrapbooking. I am currently reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle for my book club and the Glass Throne series for fun.

I have been following what is happening with the whole “Framing Of Britney Spears”. I haven’t watched the documentary yet, but just the background and the whole timeline of Britney are so interesting. Like, what really happened to Britney, something in past caused so much mental anguish for her.
